No I'm talking about just about any standard folding knife with a thumb stud on the blade. It really doesn't take a lot of time to open a knife.

Which totally makes sense, because a knife that opens with the push of a button is at least 50,000 times more deadly than a knife that opens equally fast with the flick of a wrist.

ease of convenience. i couldnt flick my knife open the first time i tried and ther is a minute time difference. also a switchblade would be ready to use immedietly hell you can push the button during the stab

The existence, and legal carry option of the fixed blade keeps any of those points from making sense, for "safety's" sake at least.

Or you can just carry a fixed blade and never have to worry about opening it

Here in New Hampshire where sense takes a backseat to living free or dying any type of knife and any length can be owned and openly carried Except on school grounds and some federal buildings, but you can conceal carry in them .

Those knives are also just as illegal. Look at the bottom of that chart and there is a list of identical weapons. The gravity knife is what I believe you are talking about. Pretty much the same as the switch blade.

Switchblades aren't illegal. I'm pretty sure automatic knives are legal in more states than not.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switchblade#United_States

Shows which states have it legal, illegal, or limited. It's "limited" in most states that would make it illegal in certain conditions(like having it in your car makes it illegal in some states or if the blade exceeds X inches, etc). There are so many factors in most of those states that can render the knife illegal. It's pretty much mostly illegal. If it's not, they usually find some way to make it illegal in common situations.

There was another black roommate that lived with me. He'd invite homeless friends over (he'd been homeless before he sucked cock to get a space in the apartment) and they'd all steal my food, so I put a sticky note up on the fridge saying "If you didn't buy it, don't eat it."
He freaked out about it. Long story short, he had all the kitchen knives on a table after we had a shouting match. I walked by him and said something like "if you're going to stab me, you'd better stab me in the back" or some other edgy shit and of course he didn't do anything.
But earlier he had kicked my door down, came in my room, and started throwing punches.
So he assaulted me with both his fists and later he waved a knife in my face. But he only got charged with burglary. And I got charged with a misdemeanor for putting my hand on his chest to keep him at an arm's length when he was aggressive and pushing me.

Killing the dude and trying to set up some lame attempt at a frame wouldn't have worked. There's this stupid trope of blacks being discriminated against by the police, but in this retarded pc environment these days being black is a get out of jail free card and being white is a guarantee that in any sort of altercation the burden of culpability is going to be on your shoulders unless you have definitive proof otherwise.

Smells like bullshit to me.

I'm not lying. The guy with the knife happened about a year ago and the guy with the guy entering our room was six months ago.
I had to find a new apartment within five days of the incident because there was a state issued restraining order between my bf and the roommate, so we would have been homeless... We had to sleep in the truck with all of our belongings for a night or two after I couldn't afford a hotel any longer and we just barely got an apartment by chance. Meanwhile the aggressive drunkard is still living in the same apartment while we have to pay a rate that's $200 higher.
The trial where the jury decides whether my bf is guilty of felony menacing or not (he should be covered by the Colorado Make My Day law, but he probably won't be) is in the summer. His life could be ruined because of this. And I just know the guy's going to claim it was all racially motivated because we're white and he's black. It's going to be the trial of Gays vs. Blacks.

But I guess I'm just making this all up for the right wing racist narrative.
