Technically, if you had water that had all/almost all solutes, minerals and sediments, somehow filtered from the water, it wouldn't conduct electricity. The thing is, that is not possible with a coal filter. Weird stuff, no idea why that would work.

we have a IR super cleaning water system in our building. the water is cleaner than alcohol! and the coalfilter was before we knew this! so that probably didnt do much

I'm still not sure that would be enough, though "IR super cleaning" isn't exactly specific on everything it does, so it might be.

Holy gods of purification...

That is a nice purifier you've got there. When water is like that, everything is waterproof, is a weird sort of way. The water doesn't have any, or at least a notable amount of, contaminants to allow it to conduct electricity.

The main thing to keep in mind is that it might not be the best idea for drinking water. Being completely distilled, it does not have the minerals and nutrients commonly expected from drinking water. This explains it better than I would:

The study found that "drinking water sources available to North Americans may contain high levels of calcium, magnesium, and sodium and may provide clinically important portions of the recommended dietary intake of these minerals". It encouraged people to "check the mineral content of their drinking water, whether tap or bottled, and choose water most appropriate for their needs". Since distilled water is devoid of minerals, supplemental mineral intake through diet is needed to maintain proper health.

That is an interesting background. I suppose he got the government to pay for it because of the lab. Definitely an ironic ending, but one that was possibly contributed to by the water. Hey,dunno if you remeber me or not. But,while back I asked if you were going to get Destiny. I played the beta, and I can vouche for it,it's a decent game. Feels like a weird orgy between Mass Effect,Halo, and CoD. ..Mind you,my xbox360 is currently broke. Red Ring.
User avatar #180 to #179 - wallbuilder (08/20/2014) [-]
Yeah, I remember. There are a few potential fixes for red ring, try some of them on youtube, unless you intend to claim warranty on it, some of them violate the terms of warranty.

My friend was gonna' get Destiny too, I'll prob get it with him, on PC though.

I'd have got it for PC if my PC wasn't a hunk of **** . If I want to run FNV without it trying to melt,I need to keep everything at the minimum settings. And my PC just does not ******* like TF2. I've tried the fixes before, and it's a used console anyway. (Bought it at EB games,it's like a canadian gamestop.) I'm hoping to just get a new one,as in factory new. That way,I know the damn thing won't die on me after a year or two. But,money's tight so I'll probably just have to fix it myself.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to this.

I can eliminate false ideas, for example. Like, rocking forward and back and telling yourself something until it becomes 'true' in your mind. There are lots of tutorials online, but I suggest you look up what Sam Harris says about it. He is very knowledgable in the art of meditating.

Not really. I use torrents for everything, as do most people. And torrents are free, too. It's only going 500kb/s because there aren't many seeders. Currently airing shows or recent releases are much, much faster to download via torrent.

User avatar #128 to #127 - wallbuilder (05/03/2014) [-]
It is. Unless your opponents have well constructed decks that can deal with threats like that consistently, they basically can't use creatures. Try Goblin sharpshooter and virulent touch. Virulent touch is good because it catches your opponent off guard and costs only 1 mana in 1 turn as opposed to basilisk collar costing 3 mana over 2 turns. and if you have Goblin sharpshooter they lose X creatures where X is what you want them to lose. Olivia Voldaren is pretty good too, she can actually do damage.
