except most swords, well made ones at least, wouldn't have such a weakness.

Yes, they do.
An impact to the middle of the sword deal by the end of another sword, for example.
A sword cannot be made without that kind of weakness. It's fundamental with all long pointy things. They are easier to break in the middle.

I won't say middle as much as the weak of the sword being hit by another person strong would likely result in the sword being bent and that point if it is not flexible enough. If a sword is well made will good steel it will be able to flex and retain it's shape.

And while I agree that swords can snap, however this only happens with bad or old equipment. It is not a strategy that can be reasonably relied upon to win you fights, in the same way that guns jamming is a thing but not something any sane person would count on to win them a gun fight.

Correct. But this is a pool noodle.

but the premise remains the same.

This was equipment failure, not a clear winner being decided by pure skill.

It could be with a pool noodle, though. You have to be wary of your "weapons" weak point whilst hitting your opponents. Or bashin' 'em in the face. Whatever the conditions for victory are.

So you're saying that if you were a 15-yo running scared shitless you would zigzag in a perfectly consistent rhythm?

Maybe if you're a computer program running a simulation that has no physics. Real life isn't so easy.
