Not something Australian's ever say, for one we don't call them shrimps, we call them prawns, and throwing prawns on the barbie? Why'd we wanna do that? There's much nicer ways to get their flavor out

You find a hobby shop, pop in and talk to peeps. Other than that, there are countless online rpg groups that you can join.
I might sound a bit negative in what I'm saying, but I'm not. I love p&p games, and I just want as many people as possible to be able to experience them.

There's a difference between "it became cool" and "people will literally not shut up about it" and I don't see how ignoring something because you're sick of hearing about it is being a hipster. When the Hunger Games came out I never even heard of it, but soon that's all anybody in my classes would talk about, every day to the point that I never wanted to go near it. Then I had to read it for English, and I'm positive I might have enjoyed it more if it wasn't as obsessed over and constantly praised, but I ended up reading up with the most cynical mindset.

It's not that it was popular, it was the constant praise and hype around it that made the book out to be something god-like that ruined it for me. I've loved a lot of things that were popular, but a majority of them weren't given constant praise or hyped. Hype ruins stuff for me, hell I avoid watching a lot of game trailers until after it comes out now, because I'd rather get my reaction based on watching a let's play.

Tired of hype =/= being a hipster

Glad to hear she's still alive, make sure you give her a hug, one of the most important things you can do is just be there for her. Not necessarily asking why, or telling her not to, just being present and able to talk to. Maybe a hug would help -hug-

You've tried calling and going to the house? There has to be someone you can get in contact with for information. Maybe check local obituaries? Try to get more information if you can.

If you find out that she is gone then I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a friend can be very painful, I've had to go through it before and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. If this is the case then don't hold back. Say anything that needs to be said and let out anything that is on your chest. I remember sharing a drink with my close friend after he passed away, it helped me a lot.

UPDATE - She's alive.
Her wrists are bandaged, and her whole family's hurt. She was found in her room, having cut her arm pretty much to ribbons, and finally opened her wrists. I can say that I'm relieved, but I'm also angry. Thanks for your support, guys.

'Never mourn for a life lost; celebrate the life they lived. '
This is the advice I gave my closest friends and family a day before having brain surgery. They all said it really helped, hopefully it can help you too dude.
Focus on the positive, and as Kamesakke said, live life for the two of you.
User avatar #138 - Kamesakke (02/24/2015) [-]
You need to cry it out. Your worries, fears, your heartbreak and everything else. You need to realize that she may be beyond your help. Don't get stuck in this moment in time, man. Don't let the world stop. It's your responsibility now to mourn, and live enough for the two of you.
