"Turn in people who were against the Nazis and in turn protect your home and family."
Are you sure that you arent talking about the soviet system.

What i heard from family members, police wasnt monitorising everything, and state enemies werent regular civilians, but people of power.
I am not saying that they were clean, but exactly the other way around, they were famous for being over the law.
i dont belive that this old lady fears the nazis
Even today, some pepole that lived in nazi germany and other fascist states still support them, without a fear of being reported dont trust me? just look up the records of people getting arrested after the war for singing patriotic songs or in some cases going to church

Everything was monitored. That was the whole point of a fascist state. I know that was a big part of the Soviet system, but the Nazi's did that as well.

"she thinks that her family will report her if she doesn't act "patriotically" in front of them." - I am talking about this, this whole reporting point

There were no family reportings like in soviet russia
There were no propaganda that told people to report "state enemies" except for jews in occupied territories. the communist "hunt" is a myth, communist parties were forbiden and underground organisations shut down, but nobody would knock on your door if you werent a 100% supporter
You get me now?

If anything that makes it more badass. If the rioters knew that, they'd probably have wrecked their shit even more.
