well not really, because it doesn't look only like a "destroying angel", it actually looks like most types of mushrooms not just that specific kind, that's why the name "mushroom cloud" was coined at the start of the 1950's.

Destroying Angel is a type of mushroom, which verminator happens to be talking about, looks like the mushroom cloud in the image. Hope that clears it up.
