MI here, I dont like chicago style, you gotta use forks and shit. At least you can hold new york pizza like a taco
User avatar #86 - shadowhorn (06/12/2015) [-]
But without all that delicious doughy goodness, why would you even eat pizza?
#58 - farted (06/12/2015) [-]
And the horseshoe. If you live in central Illinois. best thing about this state.

Where in Illinois do you live? For I too come from the land of corn and endless mounds of deep dish pizza
User avatar #100 - marinepenguin (06/12/2015) [-]
Near St. Louis and Alton master race.
User avatar #131 - onkii (06/14/2015) [-]
I live in Peoria. Shitty town, unless you're rich. Even then it still kinda sucks, lol
User avatar #48 - hightechlowlife (06/12/2015) [-]
Also corn and beans. Looots of corn and beans.

all memories of every single real pizza I've eaten in my life cringe at the same time at the mention of this atrocity
#104 - dasbrot (06/12/2015) [-]
Don't sweat it, man. You are not alone. Plenty of other people have shit taste as well.

Pic related. Shout out from NYC to Chicago! I love your pizza.

#43 - fragman (06/12/2015) [-]
tossing ingredients into a fucking cake pan with dough in it in order to then fill it up with several gallons of uncooked canned tomatoes to then bake it is fine. you can do that, it might even taste decent. but calling that soggy hunk of stuff a pizza is like a declaration of war towards italy. deep dish pizza has nothing to do with pizza.
User avatar #60 - alucardhell (06/12/2015) [-]
By the Italian definition, everything but VERY thin crust pizza isn't pizza. It is supposed to be cracker thin and about as crunchy. So why don't you get off your high horse and join the world like a normal person?
#80 - micekill (06/12/2015) [-]
deep dish pizza does look and sound nasty tho, why not just eat lasagna?
i haven't tasted it, it is a legit question
User avatar #81 - assyria (06/12/2015) [-]
It's not, it's fucking great. Anyone who's mouth doesn't water at the sight of a nice deep dish pizza isn't human.
#82 - micekill (06/12/2015) [-]
how do you eat it`?
User avatar #83 - assyria (06/12/2015) [-]
Depends, actually. I think in Chicago, where it's most popular, they eat it with silverware, but here in Philadelphia and up in New York a lot of people eat it with their hands.
User avatar #109 - alucardhell (06/12/2015) [-]
If you are from Chicago, you eat it with your hands. It is a pansy move to use silverware, that is for the New Yorkers who think they have real deep dish.
#84 - micekill (06/12/2015) [-]
understood, next time i go to usa i will eat one
User avatar #23 - Blackmane (06/12/2015) [-]
don't forget to swell with road construction. remember, chicago only has two seasons: winter and construction.
User avatar #47 - brownskin (06/12/2015) [-]
Just drove from home in northern Illinois to Missouri. Spent six hours driving through construction at least ten miles every hour. Once I got to St. Louis, I didn't see any constriction for 250 miles.
User avatar #20 - aceshot (06/12/2015) [-]
Eh it aint that good bro

All this Chicagoan swelling...
User avatar #52 - brownskin (06/12/2015) [-]
Illinois native here.

Fuck Chicago. Other than basketball and hockey, that city offers absolutely nothing to the rest of the state. Except for sucking up more state tax money than you'd believe, a good majority of which goes to their absolutely broken education system. Almost every other school district in the state had a pretty great graduation rate (all 300 people in my class graduated easily) but they bring the state totals down drastically. Plus they have the worst traffic system I've ever seen.

Lots of Illinoisans hate chicago but since it's such a huge city they out number us.

And everyone out of state assumes you're from Chicago when you say you're from Illinois. Everyone.
User avatar #75 - coolfuzzy (06/12/2015) [-]
The traffic system is fucked and I do everything I can to avoid city driving, but I still love being in the city. I live 40 minutes south by train.
