Yeah....that doesn't fly when you have to visit clients. Suffice to say, the hobo-beard doesn't look good with a suit. I gotta do it the irritating way and trim it as it grows in. To be fair though, I haven't cut my beard off in quite a few years.

I see customers now every day with every site I go to and I had the "hobo beard" before cutting it down, I just took care of it like I took care of my hair, when I still had some. You can't ignore it. I'll admit its hard but, in my opinion, worth the effort.

Of course, I'm sorry I am forgetting that not all men grow their beards the same way. Some are lucky, like me I guess, its more of a compact clump of hair on your face that doesn't really puff out or go scraggily. Or you could end up like my brother who can't grow the connecting hair around his mouth. Or my other brother who looks like a serial killer after a month no matter how much he tries to keep it under control.

you will look like a hobo though. Not sure what your situation, but pretty sure the business world frowns on hobo-beards.

You won't if you comb and wash it every day. I had a pretty long beard before I trimmed it down to a "business length".

One of my friends went 5 months without cutting it once. He was a ginger and ended up with and epic steam punk man beard worthy of the name. Of course we worked in a call center and could get away with stuff like that.

this site constantly whines about stereotypes that men face. WELL fixing this bullshit starts at home. There is no one way to "be a man", don't want toxic masculinty forced on you and other males? Then stop doing it yourself. Let these men be well groomed, how they want, without having their sexuality questioned.
