I am going to start a valid religious debate.
God does not exist.

Your move.
#87 to #91 - tuesdayscoming (12/09/2011) [-]
And man wasn't created with original sin haha. Just sayin.
#88 to #93 - TheRandomRussian (12/09/2011) [-]
Adam and Eve were the first people on earth, they had two sons, Cain and Abel.
Tell my, my dear friend..
Where the **** did they get their wives?
#122 to #94 - Farthestlight (12/18/2011) [-]
I hope you don't mind if I join the debate.

With regards to your question, Islam states that Cain and Abel married their own sisters. Since there were no other humans on the earth they had no choice and therefore they married them. This might explain why cavemen look like they do. Islam does not approve of incest, however that was an exception that had to be made.
#123 to #128 - TheRandomRussian (12/18/2011) [-]
So, Christians aproove of incest?

#124 to #129 - Farthestlight (12/18/2011) [-]
As far as I know, no religion approves of Incest, however I saw that tuesdayscoming didn't have an answer for your question so I gave you an answer from an Islamic standpoint.
#125 to #130 - TheRandomRussian (12/18/2011) [-]
>No religion approves of Incest
>Second generation of the first people on earth banged their own sisters

#126 to #131 - Farthestlight (12/18/2011) [-]
Hello? Did you not read what I wrote? I said it was an exception. Would you rather the whole existence of mankind to fade away? I read that God sent Adam and Eve to atone for their sins and to test the rest of mankind. If Adam and Eve did not eat from the tree, we would be living in heaven by now.
#128 to #132 - TheRandomRussian (12/18/2011) [-]
>Implying Adam and Eve ever existed
>Implying there is a heaven

If I say I have a 9-inch dick, people wont believe me unless I show proof, I do not have something to back up my statement with, therefore I do not have a 9-inch dick

Now, lets use this same principle, but instead of a 9-inch dick, we use heaven/god/etc.

Do you have anything legitamate to back up the statement that your god exists?
#129 to #134 - Farthestlight (12/18/2011) [-]
I do, enjoy the long read of proof that is also backed by scientific evidence.

Read this, its funny and relates to Atheism:

Thanks for responding, I looked at your links but they don't apply to me. I am not a Christian, I am a Muslim. I believe that Christianity is a religion that is full of holes, you can realize this when you look at how they change their book constantly just so they can satisfy their desires and how many books do they have. I believe that the true religion that was taught by Jesus is correct but not what they have now. They call it "revisions" but they are really changing it so it can meet their needs. In Islam, Jesus is a prophet, not a God.

I would suggest you look over those to links that I provided you as they tell you why God really does exist and talks about Atheism. Reply back with any contradictions or questions you may have. I love good debates and wouldn't mind continuing. I may however take sometime in responding because it is late here so I will go to bed soon but I will reply when I log on next.

>>Implying Islam is any different than Christianity
#135 to #140 - Farthestlight (12/18/2011) [-]
Yes, Islam is very much different from Christianity. I have a whole book that details the differences between Islam and Christianity and talks about why Islam is a complete religion. I challenge you, if you'd like, to find a loop hole or any mistake in Islam. If you want a link to the ebook version of the book here it is:

I strongly recommend that you at least flip through the book. Thanks for keeping up the debate.

So, basically, you cant proove me wrong and use my sources to try and make me feel as if Im loosing

Untill you can tell me how you are so sure there is a man in the sky watching me not give a **** about him, I will just remained convinced that god/jesus is just an imaginary figure someone made up 2000 years ago.

Prove you wrong about what?? You proved yourself wrong!

And I am sure there is a God. I cannot prove to you that there is, though. There's this thing called faith.

I believe that there is a Giant cheeto living in the sky, His name is Cheezus. I believe that one day, He will come down from His throne of cheese and irradicate all things that isn't made of cheese

I am a part of a religion called Cheeseism

**** your Christianity
**** your Islam
**** your Jewishnianity or whatever the **** its called

Cheeseism is greater then everything.
If you dont convert now, you will be doomed to spend eternity in an oven

That is all

Oldest argument in the book. At least TRY and come up with something original. There is proof all around us that Jesus walked the Earth that even atheists agree to. Your childish wish to make me question my religion is amusing.

I am simply pointing out (rather large) holes in the tiny fabric that is religion.

new synthetic life form MADE FROM A MIX OF CHEMICALS. Where did those chemicals come from?
#110 to #115 - TheRandomRussian (12/09/2011) [-]

Im sure you are gonna ask me "Where did X come from" till I reach The Big Bang Theory
And then you are gonna ask me "Where did the atom sized dot come from"

But to answer your question:
Chemicals are all around us. Everything - rocks, air, the Sun, planets, and galactic clouds - is made up of chemicals. Chemists generally think of chemicals as substances containing discrete atoms, that is, nuclei made of protons and neutrons surrounded by electron clouds. These atoms may or may not be combined with other atoms to make molecules. Atoms have been around for a long time, since shortly after the big bang. It is thought that by about three minutes after the big bang, most of the matter in the universe had condensed into atoms of hydrogen, deuterium, helium, and lithium. After that time, elements as heavy as iron were created in stars, and even heavier elements in supernovae and supermassive stars.
#111 to #116 - tuesdayscoming (12/09/2011) [-]
If I wanted an answer to that question I would have googled it like you did. And of course I'm going to ask you "where did the atom sized dot come from" because that's my whole argument.
#112 to #117 - TheRandomRussian (12/09/2011) [-]
Currently, it's an unanswerable question. According to current theory, there is no way any information could have been passed from "before" the big bang. We cannot even say that time or space existed before the big bang, or even that there was a before in any sense that we could comprehend it. It is completely unfathomable territory, with no known way to find out. Basically, that particle is as far back as we can go.

In other words this is the ONLY similar thing to your "god"
Everything else in the universe make much more sense without a god.
#114 to #118 - tuesdayscoming (12/09/2011) [-]
The fact that I can so easily tell you copy paste is annoying.

And anyway, that was my whole point. If you don't know your origins, everything from then on out is opinion based an unanswerable. So in other words, you are no more right than I am, because neither of us has proof from the beginning. We may be able to fill in some gaps, but both theories have facts and holes. Who knows, maybe God making the Universe WAS the big bang. Maybe we're arguing the same point and we don't even know it.
#113 to #118 - TheRandomRussian (12/09/2011) [-]
Might I add,
Basing the entire universe's creation on a book written by a MAN is a bit farfetched
And there's plenty of different ones, so yeah.
And there's only one, scientifically proven theory, The Big Bang
#116 to #119 - tuesdayscoming (12/09/2011) [-]
Can we just agree to disagree?
#115 to #119 - tuesdayscoming (12/09/2011) [-]
Like I said in my last comment before I saw this one, God could have created the Big Bang.

And those theories you talk about were also created by MAN. A sinful and imperfect man, just and those men who wrote the Bible were sinful and imperfect.
#117 to #121 - TheRandomRussian (12/09/2011) [-]
>And those theories you talk about were also created by MAN. A sinful and imperfect man, just and those men who wrote the Bible were sinful and imperfect.
>A sinful and imperfect man, just and those men who wrote the Bible were sinful and imperfect.
>Those men who wrote the Bible were sinful and imperfect.
>Men who wrote the Bible

I would in fact agree with you that man created those theories but thats not the point, you just agreed to my saying that The Bible is just another rule book someone, somewhere wrote to keep crime rates down.
Think about it logically, The 10 commandments include several International laws like prohibition against stealing and murder. Also, you wouldnt want some random dude sleeping with your daughter or looking at your wife do you?
#118 to #123 - tuesdayscoming (12/09/2011) [-]
The rules that are outlined in it are tiny, tiny portion! It's MUCH more than a rule book. But anyway I'm going to bed. This conversation would be never ending because it's impossible for either of us to "win"
