But, that's wrong and ill-informed cause you didn't ride horses bare back 90% of the time.

But on anotehr note: what you jsut told me on #35

Before the invention and popular use of the television, crime rates were much lower. it's a fact that you were less likely to get robbed or murdered.
There are graphs showing that in areas where the television hadn't been had lower rates which jumped after the television was introduced.

My dad's best friend is a narcotics cop. Trust me on this one. 8 times out of 10 there is an 'investigation' where the chief looks at the report that the officer filed, then the report that the person filed, then, if they were in view of the dash camera of the car they watch the video from that. This process always takes 1-2 weeks, there is never enough evidence to actually make a decision, and so the cop gets off regardless of. Occasionally in more violent cases where there's a fight or gun discharge there's some forensics to be taken into account (Witch takes longer) witch may shed more light. Again, 8 times out of 10 this just means that the cop in question gets 1-2 weeks off while everyone fingerfucks their paperwork.
#226 - tristmilt (06/21/2015) [-]
No shit, if there isnt enough evidence you cant legally punish anyone for anything. Dont pretend it's officer exclusive.

That's what they're paid to do. Look, I don't expect a police officer to be a total robot, but shooting people in the back, kicking them when they're down, all that crap needs to be dealt with. And just like in any industry, major problems like these don't happen all the time. If they did the company would be out of business. But in the police force when these things happen nothing is done about it. The officer is put on leave with pay or some shit. Really, body cameras can do nothing but improve the police force.
#220 - tristmilt (06/20/2015) [-]
There would be a lot less back shooting and head kicking if people didnt do stupid shit, but hey man to world aint perfect and never will be. Usually people tend to assume that nothing happens to to officer with the exception of paid leave, because that's where the media stops covering it.

It is relevant because my job doesn't affect people's lives nearly as much as police officers do, and every move I make is on camera for later review. They have a much more important job and there is almost no way to hold them accountable for their mistakes. I'm not saying they have to be perfect little robots of the peace, but when mistakes are made they need to be rectified.

yes!
exactly!
hence, since it's not illegal for an officer to, say, pick their nose or fart on the job, it still wouldn't be nice knowing that it's all being recorded!
i love you!
next topic for debate: which is more important, the privacy to pick one's nose and research the meaning behind blood in their poop, or the safety of the individual?

you turn to camera on when you go to a call, its not like it recording when you eat lunch or mosey on down the road xD
