Well a lot of people love Bernie.

Most people on places like FJ/4chan are in the "trump" circlejerk. Basically screaming "TRUMP STUMPS MOOSLIMS" and that anybody who doesn't support trump is a "cuck". I wouldn't really regard that as hate, more just blindly following others.

I've seen literally just a pro Bernie poster reach the front page twice in the past. Trump usually only reaches the front page if there's a joke thrown in. Using "cuck" is a circlejerk that is done more ironically here. Also, the Bernie circlejerk is off the charts in some places. Like ending every comment they make ending with "Feel the Bern!!!" regardless of it's relation to what being commented on. The hate from both camps circlejerking is becoming more annoying than anything.

On reddit the Bernie circlejerk is huge. Not on Fj.

Fj is more just trying to copy 4chan in terms of circlejerks.

Are you an idiot? It costs so goddamn much because high school students think it's necessary for you to the biggest university in the state to go to college. Fuck that, you can go to local colleges and save so much money. Forget paying 5k+ a year and stay at home and go to a local college where you can get the same damn education and a diploma that means pretty close to the same thing. Better yet, if you want to go to say Georgia Tech, go to a community college for the first 2 years. They offer the same exact basic classes (English, Maths, Sciences, etc.). And if you absolutely need to attend a big college, then do so with the help of the state. I attend Georgia Southern. I get $5,000 in financial aid, $4,000 in pell grant and $4,000+ a year from scholarships. The rest I've worked for since high school because I knew I wanted to attend a big college so I started saving. And God only knows how easy it is to obtain scholarships. There are so many out there, it's not even funny! I ended high school with a 2.7, I still managed to apply to hundreds of scholarships. Literally, do 1 a day your senior year. You will get some. There are so many under appreciated scholarships that people don't even claim every year. So yes, the average costs of tuition for me is $16,000 a year. Over 4 years that's $64,000. But with all the benefits of financial aid, pell grant, and scholarships, I end up paying less than $1,000 a year. Hell sometimes I even get money back because I get so many scholarships. So the college system at the moment is totally plausible. Just be smart enough to use it correctly. I think the problem doesn't lie in the system, the problem lies in the failure to truly educate high schoolers on the expenses and awareness about the plethora of scholarships available. Not to mention the options of community college the first 2 years.

TL;DR Fuck free college, you can definitely go if you are smart about it.

You just said you benefit the most from utilizing scholarships that other people don't utilize.

If everyone followed your advice, there would be no scholarships that people are overlooking. If we assume half the current college students enrolled began your 'scholarship-a-day' mentality, that leaves you paying more than $1,000 a year (you just generated competition for your own funds) and still half the enrolled students paying an overinflated rate..

Congratz on figuring your own college out, seriously. But I graduated high school with a 3.6 (on a 5-point scale) and applied for over 50 scholarships through my HS to help pay for a cheaper-end state school. I didn't get any. I'm a strong write, so I figured my application essays could make up for my lower-end GPA, guess not. I chose not to take the community college route because I wouldn't be eligible for full-time student financial aid. I didn't do great in HS because I always had a job, and I didn't want to fail college for the same reason. Now, I'm in my senior year with a 2.9 GPA (4-pt scale) and a full time job. Still, $88k in debt, and counting.

TL;DR - just because you did it doesn't mean it's plausible for everyone else to.

I don't care, I'm not a selfish asshole. I want people like you to be aware man. 88k in debt? That's literally insane. Where do you go and what are you studying?

Well, in my experience, overclocking is not as great as everyone wants you to believe. I mean its good but you are gonna get like 5 more fps, if you are lucky enough.
Anyway, you will need to download one of this programs: www.evga.com/precision/ or gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner, they are pretty much the same, but most people prefer msi after burner. After you install it I'd recommend watching a video of someone whos overclocking the exact same gpu (yours its not just a 660ti its could be a 660ti SC or SSC or FTW or maybe even a classified version (great for overclocking)) Then use the same profile he is using in the video and start bechmarking (just play any game you have) if the game crashes you dont have a stable overclock and you will need to decrease the memory clock offset and/or the gpu clock offset (dont go bellow the default offset). If you are able to play for a couple of hours without crashes it means you have a stable overclock for that game. Some games are better at overclocking for some reason which means that you would need to benchmark for every game you want to play if you really want the most fps.
The cpu is more complicated and has no major impact on your fps.

Thanks for the advice

The Precision Tool works like a charm.
My card runs cooler (from an average of 72 C under stress to an average of 62 C) and I get about 5 - 7 fps more which just barely puts me in the 50+ fps sweet spot for the Witcher 3.

The fans have gotten more noisy though. Apart from that, I consider this a success. At this rate, I think I should be able to postpone upgrading for another 8 - 12 months

While you have a good Motherboard for overclocking, You will most certainly need an upgraded CPU cooler and GPU cooler if the 660ti is just a stock. For the CPU if your case is large enough, Cooler Master's Hyper 212 EVO is simply a superb bang for your buck after market cooler, and I imagine it would be easy to get a different cooler for the 660ti.

For the actual overclocking bit, Check out Linus' video on Overclocking, www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBfXruwe8w4, they dude will explain it better than I ever could.
