if you want economic fairness or whatever you arbitrarily define as fair , then fine. Have a welfare system

the minimum wage is not an effective tool if you want to help people

Well then they should take a loan or not go to college. Not everyone should go to college.

Everyone should have a chance to get to college without being crippled. But what would an amerifag know.

>wealth defines intelligence
Tell me more about it, tell it to my borderline poverished family with a son who has higher grades than a great chunk of his classmates who wear more $$$ than ive ever held in my hands

I didn't say that.

No, your statements say exactly that

if you poor and want to uni, take out loan and go to uni + stupid people should not go to uni = wealth defines intelligence

That's a bit far fetched.

Loan = debt and sure as fuck I couldn't pay it back in decades

The whole idea of getting a loan to get higher education is to earn good money after you graduate. When you earn good money, you pay back loan.

Now if you find yourself in a position where you graduate a course you took a loan out for, but somehow do not earn good money, you do not pay it back until you earn good money.

Example: zipov goes to uni in the UK and takes out a loan to do so.
There is a threshold of income above which you have to start making repayments.
Once you go above that threshold you start paying like 10% of what you make ABOVE that threshold.
Threshold for Poland is 60000zł per year. If I make 70000zł per year, I pay 10% of 10000zł, so 1000zł.

If zipov poorslavshit, he has to prove to Student Loan Company he poor, and he doesn;t have to pay.

Well, if I graduate and start making 500 euro/month AKA 6k euro/year and spend 3/5 on rent, utilities, etc, spend 1/5 on food, then I have 1/5 left over. Except, you don't have such a loan system here where you take money and pay after graduation. no, you pay DURING studies, even if you take a loan. Say, a loan of 1000 euro for a year, which, with interest/whatever is it called would mean i pay 100 a month AKA 1200 in a year. Sounds like I can pay off, right?
Except, as a student who hasnt graduated yet, getting a 500 euro job is any man's dream that doesn't come true either due to qualification for such a job or time management (as such jobs will only have you work 9-5 or so, which is when Uni is)
Looking at job vacancies proves this further. So, better find a way to be at 2 places at the same time, or have scholarship which you'll obviously not get unless you have the average grade 8/10, a grade not even the top students could pull all the time, or pray for divine intervention.

or have parents that can pay for this stuff...
oh wait, I have only one parent...oh...right...
but I could save up the money i get for studying in my school (not a lot) and pray that it's enough to cover all future Uni/College costs.

Even stupid people should have an opportunity to get to college. If they are too stupid for it, they will drop out eventually.
What do you even consider as stupid? "Oh that guy has a wife beater, no college for him" or "Oh, she likes Jersey Shore, go flip those burgers"

Entry exams.

Although it doesn't always work.
There were 30 candidates for 1 place a uni when I enrolled.
Naturally, I fucken aced it and got in. But some dumb cunts did too.
Why, I wondered. Why do they keep passing tests when they are stupid, do not study and basically wtf?

Then I got the stupid cunt drunk and it came out. Her parents bribed the university peeps so their daughter could have a degree.

I fucked her loose cunt and went back to my room.

Uni was great.

#166 - jopesane (10/06/2016) [-]
Yes entry exams are good idea, because then everyone has a chance... EVEN stupid people. If they don't pass it, they blew their chance. What you said earlier was that they should not have this chance.

And yes, money always buys your way.

I just don't see what raising minimum wage is going to help. It'll just be like instant inflation and prices of literally everything will go up a LOT. Just my thoughts.

It's not, but if we don't use the collective bargaining power that our democracy has granted us to create a fair and just system for everyone, then we're not really doing anything to help the problem are we? Maybe we don't raise it to a full $15 right away, but doing nothing is basically acknowledging that we don't care about an entire class of people. If you don't, that's fine, but don't try to make your arguments under the guise of economic fairness.
