I found one on a bookshelf in my english teachers class, on an unrelated note, she was the best teacher I've ever had. I miss her read it and was hooked. Probably finished 7-8 of them. I'm thinking of ordering the complete set

EULALIAAAAA

As a grown adult, I own every Redwall novel, and I still go back and reread them. I've always wanted to get the cookbook though, as the food Brian Jacques always described sounds incredible.

I never watched the TV series. I tried once, and I didn't like it.

Thanks nigga. I knew it was a hedgehog but I forgot the book. Young me thought that name was hilarious. And the book was pretty fucking awesome too.

DId you ever read the Mistmantle chronicles? Basically Redwall, except you followed the same people from young age to they get pretty old or die

Mistmantle was the shit. A summer or two ago I downloaded all the books and read them all. Pretty short and easy to read, but it was really good even as an adult.

Fuggin' loved that series. Eventually I burned out on it as it seemed all the storys followed a close formula for me, but man it was some of the best stories to read.

>GoT for children
yea maybe if you only watched the animated series.
I remember clearly that a single hare slaughtered an entire crew of pirates because they killed his daughter, and they found him with so many cuts on his body and covered in the gore of his enemies, after that he became crazy and took their ship as his own. Here's a really good fan art of him.

Not to mention that in Joseph the Bellmaker, an otter chieftain and a mute badger were tortured so brutally by sea-rats that they lost all their memories and ability to speak, were dropped into a castle moat and left for dead, but was so fucking angry that they both managed to survive and show up in the final battle.

I fucking love Joseph the Bellmaker, it's right up there with Mariel of Redwall for my favorite Redwall stories.

My favourite death is the fight with Urthstripe the Strong, fucking single handily slaughtering like 2/5th horde of Fehrago The Assassin THEN fucking taking him AND Fehrago out the fucking window of Salamandastron. Allllll the way to the bottom.

Those books made me fear badgers.

Ya should be afraid, territorial bastards they are. Makes sense they always stayed in their homes in the books

The only thing that got tiring with the Redwall books was that they got fairly formulaic, so it felt like I read the same thing with different characters.

Also that if there was a fox, stoat, ferret, weasel, or rat they were guaranteed to be evil. Like I only remember one rat who turned out to be good, but even then the Redwall folk made him live away from them alone and only visited him occasionally.
