As an added bonus, they know how poachers operate, so have an easier time when trying to stop them. Kinda like how people employ hackers to help make better security.

Majority of them do it because there is insane money in poaching. I mean, rhinoceros horn cost something around 300k dollars.

I would say the local poachers only get paid what the black market merchants give them. Prolly only a fraction of the profit.
#67 - nightmarexnxnxnxnx (08/12/2016) [-]
That is debatable, but unless anyone can find a record of what they get paid on average I suppose we will never know.

What baffles me more is how can anyone have 300k bucks to spend but be retarded enough to not know the fact that what they are buying for price higher than gold is fucking keratine, same shit found in stuff like nails, claws and so on.

Superstitions.
Stupid-ass asians who think that ground up <insert endangered species> will give them some miracle cure for their cancer/impotence/whatever.

Agreed, it takes less than five minutes of browsing to learn that those parts people are murdering endangered animals for are made of some of the most COMMON substances found even on humans themselves.

Wow, just wow.

Yep I did too, usually they earn around 21k dollars for 9 kilograms, which mean son average three horns.

You were right.
