Most Sikhs nowadays aren't orthodox enough to adhere to that, even In the Punjab the majority of those with uncut beards are those of the much older generations.

I would say that trimming is a fair loophole.

if you can get it on sale, absolutely.

if not, then it depends on how much you like brutal combat, dark themes, lack of a pre-established fast travel system, you have to place "port crystals" that you find on your travels yourself then use something called a ferry stone to teleport to them that are one time use. capcom was nice and gave us an eternal ferrystone with the Dark Arisen dlc so we wouldn't have to keep hunting down ferrystones every time we wanted to teleport, but you still have to find any port crystals yourself, except for the ones preplaced in a few areas , big-ass monsters that you can climb à la Shadow of the Colossus and kill, somewhat derpy pawns that depending on how their creators trained them can either be a massive burden or a hyper elite beasty killing machine, and some of the best boss fights i've seen in recent gaming years.

in all it's one of the few games i've ever played that i would dare rate a 10/10 game. the only thing that bugs me is the lack of multiple save files, but you can kind of work around that by writing down your character info and buying a potion called "secret of metamorphosis" on postgame which lets you re-create your character and your ai pawn as often as you want from the main menu.

other than that it's fantastic and i wish more games were like it.

I highly recommend it.
Aside from the idiot A.I. companions, the gameplay is fun, but challenging with a really cool story to back it up.
