thing is, when you say live in poverty, that's a lie, you have a fucking computer, if you lived in poverty you would not have bought a computer and be paying for internet. Chances are you say you "live in poverty" because you don't have a huge house and can't afford a 100,000 dollar car.

You should meet my mother, she grew up with no father, in an apartment that had no heating, with no bathroom, electricity cut off for several winters, she had to shower in the sink at a gas station for most of her childhood, was beaten by her stepfather who was a drunk asshole, the family car (they only ever had 1) was repossessed on 3 separate occasions... know where I grew up? In a nice house, never cold never hungry, but do you think she had it easy? how do you think she gave me and my sister such a good life? She worked hard, she doesnt have a college education but you ask anyone she works with theyll tell you she has to because she worked 2 jobs and became one of the best damned accountants they had at Kohl Han and my father works hard too he didnt live easy mode you really think people growing up in poverty cant make it in the world? Speak to my Mom (Idc if im a mamas boy she gave me and my sister a life she couldve never dreamed of as a child) Anyone can work hard enough to make it and you being lazy blaming a politician from forever ago... sad man

The man has fuck all figured out.
The country has to get it's shit together, but it wasn't Margaret that drove us in to this mess today. Our economy was probably at it's strongest towards the end of her time, and she did that. She stopped the government's money going in to dead industries and got the trade unions to fuck. If we had more prime ministers like her, our country wouldn't be in the fucking mess it is today.

We shouldn't be organizing now that she's dead, as if she was preventing us. She got us organized, we should've remained organized, but we didn't.

#101 - thesuperhanz (04/12/2013) [-]
Well I'm sorry but I disagree if we had more prime ministers like her we'd have a revolution on our hands. She brought the country to it's fucking knees through unemployment.
User avatar
#106 - iFail (04/12/2013) [-]
Hahaha, that's fucking crazy. A revolution? The country would be on it's knees?
Where the proof in that? She was the one that put an end to all the trade union strikes that caused all the power shortages in the 70s and what not when she scrapped the trade unions. The country was on it's knees, she picked it up. Alright, she inadvertently caused strikes by closing the non-profitable industries too, but it needed to be done. Otherwise, our economy would've gone to fuck.

In other words, she might have made some harsh choices, but she saved our country in doing so.

I'm sorry but did you see what happened with the Poll Tax there were riots in streets and not just any student riots people of all ages and then there's brixton and toxteth and so on, she was a bitch I would rather vote for the helping hand than the iron fist
User avatar
#269 - iFail (04/12/2013) [-]
Aw yeah, sorry I forgot, Margaret Thatcher introduced poll tax just because she wanted to cause riots. The poll tax had no benefit towards the economy, all the money gathered from poll tax was thrown into the sea, it was solely arranged so that Thatcher could laugh at the butthurt.

Just kidding of course, that was sarcasm. Thatcher done nothing but help this country, she gave it the good slap in to place that it needed. And yeah, we all would, I'd happily vote for a helping hand. But in today's politics, there is not one helping hand that's as strong as Thatcher's, and I even doubt there will be one for some time.
