Sadly, that is kind of the case. While not all, many women will cry over silly things, where most men have the stigma of 'you're a little bitch if you cry' so if they actually allow themselves to cry, it is because that emotion is so strong they don't care.

This is what is wrong with pet owners nowadays!
No the dog don't know it's not supposed to be there, nor does it check if someone is watching, no PET have a consensus! So stop acting like it has one!
The moment you start doing that, your fucking up the pet.
User avatar #220 - psykobear (03/19/2014) [-]
Pet's can check if someone is looking. They don't necessarily know wrong from bad, but they can put two and two together. "Oh. When I get on bed, I get yelled at." That's how we can teach them tricks. "When I roll over when they say 'Roll Over', I get treat."
#198 - devout feminist (03/19/2014) [-]
I think Funnyjunk came through with a consensus, you're retarded.

I think you meant to say conscience?

User avatar #181 - herpderpstrom (03/19/2014) [-]
Well, this gif is actually from a video that went viral through a news network a few days ago. Apparently the owner doesn't let his dog into the bed, so this is what it does whenever he's not around. The video was recorded by a camera set up on a tripod in the bedroom.
This would suggest that the dog knows it's not supposed to be on the bed and only jumps onto it when there's no risk of getting caught.

Well you certainly stirred up quite the shit storm.
Also you have to be the most stupid mother fucker I have ever encountered to think animals don't have a "consensus" (nice spelling by the way fuck tard).
It is blatantly obvious that animals know when they're doing wrong: A toddler, for example will go quiet when he/she is knowingly up to no good, The exact same goes for dogs too. My GF's dog went through the bin many times, knocking it over and making a big mess. It knew it wasn't allowed and when we found out, he would hide from us and wouldn't look us in the the eyes because he knew he had done wrong.
I honestly don't know how you think you're correct in this matter.
#111 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
If im a stupid motherfucker and fuck tard? Why are you trying to argue with me?
Do you think that it somehow will change my opinion? When clearly im a stupid motherfucker/Fucktard? That's like trying to argue with a fema nazi or a retard?
WHY would you waste your precious time to convince a stupid motherfucker/Fucktard?

Sense you make none.

#38 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Well clearly not good enough, since you don't see the problem.
Infact that's quite worrying that you a PROFESSIONAL, condone adding Human elements to dogs..
User avatar #39 - accalia (03/19/2014) [-]
Dogs have scientific evidence to support the so called human elements I am adding to them, they have been proven to be empathetic, highly intelligent, loyal, they each have their own unique personalities which are evident if you spend enough time around them, and they are self aware yet again scientifically proven, I can fetch the source for these if you require
#43 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Cmon you do this on a daily basis you stated, surely it can't be that hard to find them?
#51 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
The first two links are useless, as i can't accesses the study, nor do they state which dogs races were in play.

The Third one is common knowledge.
The Fourth is useless aswell, as i don't have accesses to those books.
The Fifth is just a top 10, which could be made by everyone nor is their any references.
The sixth is just ad for a book(which i can't access) About Dog intelligence, which has ZERO thing to do with the subject were discussing.
The Seventh not related, nor should you trust the daily mail as they have a reputation to be quite BIASED.

The Eight is again just on dog intelligence..

The Ninth has nothing to do with the subject.

The Tenth is just about dogs mimicking us, which aint that uncommon.

The Eleventh is retarded, as it's just a blog, with no references.

If you really are a dog trainer, then you should really reevaluate method of getting information. as it currently suck major donkey balls. There's also something which i find quite weird, your a pro dog trainer but haven't mentioned anything from your own experience? Surely , their would be alot of cases which can prove your claims.

Peta? Not really.

Just a guy who see a problem in adding human emotions and human consensus to a animal.
#63 - tsukaza (03/19/2014) [-]
What is a "human emotion"? How how can you even add human before the word consensus? All social animals have a consensus...
Humans are just another animal... It's because because we are like we are that we differentiate species.
Humans aren't the first to have these emotions and won't be the last.... And they definitely aren't the only ones. I don't want to particularly get involved in this conversation about adding "human emotions" to animals but I would just like to knw what a human emotion is.
User avatar #31 - Tusura (03/19/2014) [-]
My dog knows she's not allowed on the leather couches, but she can get on her couch which is cloth (and is also her full-time bed because she tears up dog beds)

Autumn also knows she isn't allowed in the trash, but she still loves to tear up tissues, then look all sheepish and scared because she knows it was wrong.

tl;dr you're an idiot, and animals have feelings too. but that doesn't stop me from eating the tasty ones
User avatar #123 - clannadqs (03/19/2014) [-]
They have actually proven that dogs can't feel guilt. Granted they do feel emotions to an extent, they cannot experience guilt or contempt. That guilty look is just them knowing they are going to get in trouble and fear the consequences coming.
#174 - devout feminist (03/19/2014) [-]
"That guilty look is just them knowing they are going to get in trouble and fear the consequences coming."

Isn't that just basically what guilt is?
User avatar #222 - psykobear (03/19/2014) [-]
Guilt is knwoing you did bad, regardless of consequences. You can feel guilt about killing a bird. No consequences will come, but guilt remains (for some people).

User avatar #187 - anthonyh (03/19/2014) [-]
"they do feel emotions to an extent"
"knowing they are going to get in trouble and fear the consequences"
as opposed to you:
"the dog don't know it's not supposed to be there"

Do you even know how to read?
#227 - sylaz (03/20/2014) [-]
Clearly i can read, since ive been able to respond to almost single comment. Tho i think i may have missed that, my bad. Btw Remember to this vote this down Tsura and Hates(Btw kinda ironic that the troll(according to some of users) is the one who don't go apeshit wtih red thumbs, on someone he disagree with? It's especially funny since Tsura have kids, and im just a kid, yet i have more decency than a grown up? Kinda makes you think about how ppl are behaving these days? What's makes it even more ironic, is the fact that Tusura have a Naruto avatar. Naruto a manga which is all about understanding each other and breaking a cycle of hatred.
#42 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Oh really? How does a dog look scared or sheepish for that matter, and how do you interpret it, has a dog trainer or vet told you or is it just you?

Have you ever owned a dog?
I've had multiple dogs over my lifetime, and I've never been more than 6 months without one.
Ever heard of Cesar Milan? Go watch his stuff, he's not a joke or a crack.

Animals think just like people do, just not on as complex of a scale.
Every dog I have ever owned, has had a sense of right and wrong, whether it was instilled upon them by our family, or natural instinct.

Lightfoot, Jewel, Zeke, Samson, and Autumn have been my babies over the years and I wouldn't change it for the world.
#57 - aerosol (03/19/2014) [-]

#54 - cmilanes (03/19/2014) [-]
gotta love Cesar.
#46 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
No i haven't (would love to tho)
I do watch Ceaser Milan, and he don't condone humanizing pet's too.
Which you do, just the fact that you call them babies is straight up wrong, so is the fact that you think they got a sense of right and wrong, dogs aren't self aware so the can't grasp the concept of right and wrong, nor can they feel as a human.

Don't get me wrong tho, im sure you love your pets to death and is a good owner.
#64 - tsukaza (03/19/2014) [-]
If it's able to be taught, an animal can learn the difference between right and wrong... there are many humans who don't know the difference between right and wrong because either they grew up and what is right for them would be wrong for us (For example someone who got abused as a child might abuse children when they are older because it's what they knew and what was taught to them), They weren't taught right from wrong or they have a mental illness and they just do whatever they think has more pros for them, despite what it is.

TL;DR, Animals can be taught what is wrong or right just like humans are taught. (It's called training, and human's are trained from a young age)
#66 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Oh really? Then enlighten me how did you train your pets to know right or wrong?

#83 - tsukaza (03/19/2014) [-]
Cats and dogs in particular are intelligent... they can learn what certain words mean (again in you train them this) after they know that then it's easier to train animals than it is to train humans.
#84 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
You said your pets knew right and wrong, please enlighten me how you have trained them to know that?
#85 - tsukaza (03/19/2014) [-]
The same way you train humans, but it's easier. What part of this don't you understand?
#86 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Tell me the method on how you trained your pets to know the difference between right and wrong!
#146 - tsukaza (03/19/2014) [-]
Do something wrong = Punishment
Do something it's supposed to do = praise

Exactly the same way as humans. I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're really not as dumb as this.
#161 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
And no a human does in know way function like that, if that is how your teaching your kids to behave, that will damage them, you can be sure of that!
If punishment worked then USA would be the safest place in the world.
#224 - tsukaza (03/20/2014) [-]
Somebody not taught to have a conscience doesn't have one.
Even those taught to have one don't have one.
It depends on the animal in question. Humans are animals... Humans aren't the only one to have these emotions.
#225 - tsukaza (03/20/2014) [-]
Also, EXACTLY what Tasura said, Punishment isn't a kick in the ribs. It can be anything from a kick in the ribs to just saying "No! in a stern voice" to lightly tapping their lose to just looking at them in a certain way.
The good trainers train the right way (AKA not taking the kick in the ribs route)
And, again. I agree with Tasura on this one. You haven't had a dog and you only know articles which if you look at another article will be different to each other. Fuck, Articles are different from these new Dog training schools that train your dog with you being there.
And fyi, I don't have children of my own.
User avatar #197 - Tusura (03/19/2014) [-]
You say I've fucked up my dogs, I say I've trained a friend more loyal than any human; that knows who is family, and who is intent on hurting the family.

My dog is trained to bark at new people that come in the house, until we have told her to stop, and to attack if commanded to do so by me and ONLY me.

I have not once ever hit my dog. Punishment does not need to be physical.
Telling the dog no in a stern voice. Rewarding with small treats for a command followed when being trained, slowly moving to having to follow the command multiple times to get a treat. It's a long process, that you start with puppies.

Dogs are just like people. If you raise them to be stupid aggressive and territorial, then they will be. I raise my dogs to love everyone unless specified otherwise. A stranger entering the house unannounced is a situation where the dog can act fierce without being punished. Any other time, aggression is not tolerated.

My kids are no different. They are raised to respect people and treat everyone like a human being. Only when someone is attempting to harm them or the family are they allowed to use their martial arts training to defend themselves or a loved one.

Not everything you read on the internet is fact. You call people dumb and attack their ideals with nothing more than a few articles from the internet and no actual life experience towards the subject. Go back to your basement troll, we don't want you here.

User avatar #94 - aerosol (03/19/2014) [-]
I'm talking about a first-hand frame of reference. You know, experience.
#103 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Experience don't have anything to do with this discussion.

Let's say a dog owner who beats he's dog everyday, does he's experience count?
#104 - aerosol (03/19/2014) [-]
That's a loaded question. And yes it does. I guess this has pretty much off the rails by now.

Are your serious? So'd you let a pedophile watch your kids cause you know he's got experience? SRSLY dude that's messed up!
User avatar #72 - kotetsulovesfj (03/19/2014) [-]
He's saying, since you never had any experience owning a pet, your comments aren't worth anything. You are basically blowing smoke out of your asshole, talking about things you have no idea nor experience with. If you have never experienced it, don't act like you know all about it.
#74 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
Well that's not up to him or you to decide? Can't you see the failure in the logic your using right now?
User avatar #77 - kotetsulovesfj (03/19/2014) [-]
Actually, it is up to me to decide. I have free will. If you say, "I've never owned a pet" yet lecture others on how to treat them, I have every right to decide whether or not to listen to you. I have no right to tell you to stop, but I have every right to tell you that you are wrong.
Besides, my logic is perfectly sound. You are telling others on how to treat their pets without owning one yourself, so you honestly don't know what you are talking about. That's the same as me telling you how to work out to get an amazing body, despite the fact I don't have experience doing so. If I walked to some random person who had experience working out, and told him why what he was doing was incorrect, if he asked me if I had any experience with a workout regime and my answer was "no, but I would love to", he won't give my words a second thought. Get a dog. See that they are intelligent, and can learn right from wrong. Otherwise, your words mean nothing.
#91 - sylaz (03/19/2014) [-]
No you don't have free will, you got the illusion of free will.
Everyday someone is manipulating you on a subconscious level, take the news for instance or your government, or the products that you buy? Why do you think they put all those colors on a simple pack of fucking RICE, it's because they know that your drawn to it! Your a slave, and so am i.

Anyways onward to your answer: I see my answers as educating, you see them as lecturing, fair point! Sure you got every right, to listen or not, but if you don't want to listen, then why are you posting? is it out of spite or because you think you can change me? Surely a deprived psycho as me is beyond saving? So why bother? Why am i worth your time? TELL ME!

They haven't been humanized, they are at the bottom of the family chain, and every human is above them, period. I've trained dogs my entire life, and I can definitely tell you a dog knows when it has done something it's not supposed to; that's what training is for.

A trained dog knows right from wrong. A wild dog does not.
