Let's look at the fucking numbers.
In 2015 (when there was the largest wave of refugees), EU countries offered asylum to 292,540 refugees. Though plenty more applied, and still stayed in Europe, until they were sent back, which most of them have been already.

The total population of europe is 743,1 millions. With some simple math that means that the total of refugees that got asylum is 0.04 % compared to the total population of Europe. They are not that many, for the majority of europeans they don't cause problem, because the majority of europeans don't have to deal with them, it's the exceptions of the very few ghettos they make that stuff happens in and makes the news. The media reports on it like wild, because it's makes good headlines, they don't censor shit.

The situation is not that bad at all. You have to remember that the loudest people on FJ are at the right end of the political spectrum.

People exaggerated it for political gain, an it obviously worked. You see new political parties rise all over europe with no politics other than throwing out the refugees.

Because you are put down by either some form of threat (job loss, family, life, your pet) or jailed. Just like that.

Because the stories of rapefugees are wildly exaggerated? Most refugees are just folks trying to make the best of a shitty situation. In the case of Syrian refugees, there are actually quite a lot of well-educated ones.

Of course, many of them are poor, uneducated and unmotivated to integrate in society, but this creates more of a Detroit situation than a rapefest one.

I men I dont want to like shit on your parade or anything but Detroit is both one of the most dangerous cities in the US as well as one of the most rapidly deteriorating economically speaking.
#119 - efeye (11/23/2016) [-]
Thats the point. Detroit is a ghetto, but a contained one. Same with the refugee-created ghettos in Sweden. The situation is more of a "stay out of those areas" rather than a spiraling crime wave.

That is still not good, it's an embarrassment for an advanced western country to have places like that. Yes Detroit as it currently is is an embarrassment too

Yes, it is an embarassment and a failure. But the question was if refugees was a goof thing or not, the question was "why haven't the people revolted?". The answer is because the situation is not as bad as it is made out to be and can be ignored.

I wasn't debating you on that I was just pointing out that the situation is still not good, also this is just my personal opinion but problems like that shouldn't be ignored.

The Crimean vote was fishy from start to end, mind you it took place in the middle of a civil war obviously started by and supported by Russia, and the vote itself seemed suspicious.
