yes, that is what I'm saying, guns made for the sport of hunting animals, sure let's keep 'em but not the guns that is purely made for killing other people. Yes a high caliber revolver and slow firing rifles are harder to kill many people with, impossible no, but that's my point. making murder harder can only be better for most people.

yes you can murder people, but you can't kill 77 kids within 2 hours with just your hands, maybe you can kill 10-15 people with a knife, maybe 20-30 with a slow firing/hunting rifle, but slowly taking away the freedom to kill people can't be bad, it's the only way to work towards peace.

You scream at me that everything can kill or be a weapon, but how does this in anyway make guns "better or worse" I can't think of it as a positive thing to kill another human being so why should people be given the opportunity to kill with pulling a trigger on a gun, sending that person to an early grave?''

In what scenario do you win this argument, there is no way I can think of you winning this argument, not now, not ever. Because killing can't be justified, You take another persons life, you've robbed someone of the chance to live a already short life. You decide yourself if you want to train MMA or learn how to disarm a petty thief.

Even if the whole fucking world is at war there is no justifying guns when there is no reason for it, guns are made for destruction, If you want destruction become a member of the club. At least then everyone goes home alive.

so you just think the ability to kill yourself and others are not going to change by inventing weapons for doing this quicker and more efficient?
yeah, you can die, or kill by almost anything, but it so many times easier to pull a trigger than doing most of the other ones, and I never said if you really want to kill yourself, but I implied people who might want to live, die to early because it is much easier to take suicide without pain.
pain is an alarm system to make us wake up, and a bullet to the head "cheat" that system, while cutting your wrist or seeing the slip knot might make you change your decision.

Yes I can't really counter your argument about knives, so I guess we will simply have to ban those to, I mean an Asian guy killed 14 people once before he could be stopped. (Imagine how many would be dead if he got his hand on a gun....)

people will always kill people it seems, so let's get rid of the weapons, or at least the worst ones, aren't the us having a fight over that?
I see no harm in a hunting rifle, revolver and such which have been used mostly to hunt or defend oneself from wild animals, but carrying a handgun with 8-15 rounds of 9 mm bullets just seem unnecessary for me.
It gives away 8-15 lives at worst, but only holes in a paper poster at best. The risk seems highly unnecessary but if that's what makes you feel safe at night feel free. just remember you brought all this on your self when the streets are filled with the blood of children.

So basically you want to ban guns so children won't get hurt. (based off your last sentence.) And not everyone is a master marksman that can get a headshot with each bullet, so a high caliber revolver is much more likely to kill you than a 9mm.

Don't give weapons to nutjobs, thats the easiest solution where everyone can keep their freedom. Crime will always exist and people will die, whether or not someone has a 9mm, a .44, a rifle, a knife, or their hands.

one, guns where simply made for killing people, (be it in what name: self defense, the lord, the queen, the mighty spaghetti monster.)

two let's check out the diffrent uses of all your weapons:
knives = making art, eating, copping up wood. easy to kill people with but requires brute strength and training
forks = eating, may kill people but quite hard.
cars = traveling longer distances, may kill and harm people, but very expensive.
alcohol = lifting the mood, self-destruction. may lead to killing minimal amounts of people
hands = masturbating, not effective to kill without weapon in hand, or strenght in arms
explosives = making roads, clearing paths, blowing up people, very effective
guns = killing animals, killing people, paper models of people, very effective

and explosives aren't ready assembled to buy in stores and blow up a building of people, so no, by that logic you still lose.

A sharp knife can easily cut through things and requires minimal strength. I was cleaning one in foods class and cut my hand open. Forks can easily kill people if you want them to. You don't try to kill someone with a fork unless you know you can. Who gives a fuck how expensive a car is, if you can kill someone with it, then its effective and easy. Alcohol poisoning can be achieved easily and without medical attention you'll die, not to mention that you can get yourself killed pretty easily while drunk. Hands, I mean c'mon, how fucking hard is it to snap someones neck or push them off a building? Kids might not be able to do it but a fully grown man can.

And by the way, if you really want to kill yourself, pain isn't going to stop you.

You still lose.

yes, but if you carry a gun and you are extremely angry, logic do not apply. The most calm person in the world might have a moment where you want to kill someone, just enough to do it, and the more guns around the bigger chance to do it you can't deny someone will eventually pull a gun on someone, maybe even just a joke.

yes you can murder people, but you can't kill 77 kids within 2 hours with just your hands, maybe you can kill 10-15 people with a knife, maybe 20-30 with a slow firing/hunting rifle, but slowly taking away the freedom to kill people can't be bad, it's the only way to work towards peace.

You scream at me that everything can kill or be a weapon, but how does this in anyway make guns "better or worse" I can't think of it as a positive thing to kill another human being so why should people be given the opportunity to kill with pulling a trigger on a gun, sending that person to an early grave?''

one, guns where simply made for killing people, (be it in what name: self defense, the lord, the queen, the mighty spaghetti monster.)

two let's check out the diffrent uses of all your weapons:
knives = making art, eating, copping up wood. easy to kill people with but requires brute strength and training
forks = eating, may kill people but quite hard.
cars = traveling longer distances, may kill and harm people, but very expensive.
alcohol = lifting the mood, self-destruction. may lead to killing minimal amounts of people
hands = masturbating, not effective to kill without weapon in hand, or strenght in arms
explosives = making roads, clearing paths, blowing up people, very effective
guns = killing animals, killing people, paper models of people, very effective

and explosives aren't ready assembled to buy in stores and blow up a building of people, so no, by that logic you still lose.
User avatar
#65 - thenukecity (03/09/2013) [-]

And by the way, if you really want to kill yourself, pain isn't going to stop you.

pain is an alarm system to make us wake up, and a bullet to the head "cheat" that system, while cutting your wrist or seeing the slip knot might make you change your decision.

yes, but if you carry a gun and you are extremely angry, logic do not apply. The most calm person in the world might have a moment where you want to kill someone, just enough to do it, and the more guns around the bigger chance to do it you can't deny someone will eventually pull a gun on someone, maybe even just a joke.

or maybe the opposite, maybe you want to kill yourself but need something fast because your to afraid of anything else.

not everyone would have the same guts to carry a grande or home made C4

You do realize you can kill yourself or someone else with your hands or things around you right. I mean, by that logic, why not just ban knifes, forks, cars, alcohol, cranes, hands, etc.

And its isn't all that scary to carry explosives as long as you know that they are stable. And its easier ot kill someone with a pound of c4 than a handgun.

also it is much more terrifying to kill yourself by bleeding or hanging yourself than loading a gun and pulling the trigger, even a child can do that, but going trough hard physical pain or preparations will more easily trigger the feeling of wanting too live.

one, guns where simply made for killing people, (be it in what name: self defense, the lord, the queen, the mighty spaghetti monster.)

two let's check out the diffrent uses of all your weapons:
knives = making art, eating, copping up wood. easy to kill people with but requires brute strength and training
forks = eating, may kill people but quite hard.
cars = traveling longer distances, may kill and harm people, but very expensive.
alcohol = lifting the mood, self-destruction. may lead to killing minimal amounts of people
hands = masturbating, not effective to kill without weapon in hand, or strenght in arms
explosives = making roads, clearing paths, blowing up people, very effective
guns = killing animals, killing people, paper models of people, very effective

and explosives aren't ready assembled to buy in stores and blow up a building of people, so no, by that logic you still lose.

You still lose.

so you just think the ability to kill yourself and others are not going to change by inventing weapons for doing this quicker and more efficient?
yeah, you can die, or kill by almost anything, but it so many times easier to pull a trigger than doing most of the other ones, and I never said if you really want to kill yourself, but I implied people who might want to live, die to early because it is much easier to take suicide without pain.
pain is an alarm system to make us wake up, and a bullet to the head "cheat" that system, while cutting your wrist or seeing the slip knot might make you change your decision.

Crime will always exist and people will die, whether or not someone has a 9mm, a .44, a rifle, a knife, or their hands.

yes, that is what I'm saying, guns made for the sport of hunting animals, sure let's keep 'em but not the guns that is purely made for killing other people.

I don't consider sending troops to other countries being at war, it's being an arse, let people short their own shit out, which you also need to do.
