Dude, same. There ARE a ton of people who are only into the show and the doctors because they are cute, but the silent majority of us truly love the core story, the not-so-perfect Time lord who everyone perceives as perfect, the massively unique environments and conflicts, etc. It takes way too long to get over each doctor and their personal stories.

I wasn't much a fan of Rose; I felt the actress could have been better. She didn't portray the emotions like David did, and I didn't actually feel like their relationship had any actual development. It was just like, BAM, they were together. No real buildup, no explanation really; they were just suddenly and irrevocably soul mates for life? Their relationship actually confused me, and did little to make it relatable, I feel. I understand she was super important, but I felt David and Donna had a much MUCH more relatable and dynamic relationship. And Donna was supposed to be the most important woman. I don't know, this is probably just me grumbling again. Any insight into the Rose/Doctor thing that maybe I'm missing would be appreciated.

But yeah, I love Doctor Who. Still need to heal from Matt before I continue on to Peter, but he does seem pretty cool. Heard he uses a gun though, which will totally be off putting if I don't have a drink first before that episode.

Well, like I said, the thing I got from Rose is that when it comes to Doctor Who, just always say Okay to any surprises. The universe is big and ever expanding, you have no time to look for reasons and answers when things are already right in front of you. lol. God I love this show even if it's all the right reasons. I just finished the seventh season again. Looking forward to see Clara again since she looks a tad bit like my ex.

I think its more due to.... the last episode being December 2015, and the next season isnt until 2017.

Over an entire year of no episodes. Of course the fan base is going to be silent for a while; Theres nothing new to talk about.

No, I mean when Matt left. Lots of complaint from fans. Some of them even saying Capaldi's too old to be the Doctor as if Hartnell being the first was young and hot, lol.

I wouldn't say they left because the doctor wasn't hot, but because they lost their doctor.

I loved David. I felt incredibly connected with him as the doctor, with his faults ("I am a time lord and time will bow to me, rawr!"), and with his utter despair ("I don't want to go."). He was quirky but not overly so. I just felt he was the most....relatable.

When he died, I HAD to stop watching. Matt is a cutie pie, but it didn't fucking matter, my doctor was gone.

Took a few months, then decided to give Matt a try. I like him, but it took quite a few episodes and a lot of grumbling on my end. Didn't matter that he was a cutie pie and funny and silly, it took a very long time to actually like him.

Then he died and my heart broke again, and it's taking a little longer to accept Peter. I haven't watched a single episode, but I like most of the quotes I see with him. I want to accept him as the new doctor, but damn does he have big shoes to fill for me personally, though for my friend it's the sixth doctor she holds on a pedestal.

Anyway, long story short, it's not all about cute doctors. Not for everyone. We just have to heal from losing 'our' doctors, man. Give us time. Ha.

I'm not saying I never experienced that feeling too. Believe me, I did. David was my favorite too, but so was everyone else. You and I, probably a lot more in the world, sorta had to go through a phase of moving on from their Doctor. But in the end, we all gotta be like Rose, just accept what we have and just say "Okay". I watch Doctor Who every year, maybe skip episodes I don't like, but it's just the only show I can keep watching over and over without losing any interest over it and still feel the same feelings I felt(?) when I first watched it. My heart keeps breaking every single time I marathon it but it's okay.
