Oh, because the people that say that have better jobs or wouldn't get a job in retail because it's "below" them.
User avatar #210 - thejerseyjenn (01/04/2014) [-]
I don't have a job so when I say that to my friends believe me I mean it. I'm currently trying to get a job and I've applied almost everywhere and no one wants me. I'm telling myself that it's because I'm a minor, but I'm sure I'm doing something else wrong.
User avatar #250 - spankyy (01/05/2014) [-]
I didn't get a job till I was 18 even though I applied everywhere. Then, when I did, it was a job that literally anyone can sign on to do, and they just have to find clients through the company (they'll literally e-mail or call you whenever they have someone you can work with). Then I didn't get a job that required me to interview and be chosen until I was 20 (a few months ago) and now i'm a manager, and am well liked by the higher-ups in the company. Just keep at it, and when you get a job, try your hardest. Even if you're not quite measuring up, they like good work ethic, so you'll not be fired if you don't quite meet the standards at first, as long as you keep trying to get to that point.

tl;dr don't give up. You'll get a job eventually. When you do, show that you want it.

Yeah ask your friends to introduce you to their boss or to refer you.

Also, would you suggest getting the DLC or not wile it's on sale for $20.39 . Does it actually make the game better?
User avatar #129 - thejerseyjenn (12/26/2013) [-]
yes yes yes 1000 times yes. Get the DLC pack. I didn't and I totally regretted it and for that price it's totally worth it. I'm buying it now because it's cheaper than buying all of the DLCs separately. Do it, definitely worth the extra quests and shit.

It's a little different but still very similar. There are some extras (like J, lj, dj, tsch) but that won't take long to adapt. I'm gonna pick up Urdu eventually as well, since it uses a similar alphabet to Arabic and is close to Hindi.

I might do Serbian before Polish since it uses Cyrillic and the pronunciation (other than the J, which is just like in German which I already speak) seems fairly similar. Transitioning and all that.

I'm studying polish at the university and the people who have studied russian before, don't think it's thats hard. It seems like that they are pretty familiar.

What is you orginal language?
#578 - iamphoenix (12/22/2013) [-]
English. I went English > German > Russian, with a few years between German and Russian.

It's pretty much the opposite of French in reading difficulty; way too many consonants.
I'd like to learn another Slavic language next year after I get into the advanced-intermediate stage of Russian and I've been thinking about Serbian or Polish.

I'm fluent in Polish (although from not using it it's fading). The more Slavic languages you learn the easier it will be to learn more Slavic languages. Of course I'm inclined to say learn Polish lol

I suppose, but being illiterate in a language kinda makes it hard to use.

Polish is a bit like Russian, isn't it? I know Russian and when I hear Polish some words are familiar.

The grammar is less concerning than tonality (unless that's what you meant by accent) and the fucky writing system. I prefer Korean for this reason. Hangul is kind and the grammar is reminiscent of German.
