Aegon the Conqueror had two wives, his first wife's son, Maegor the Cruel had no children so that line died out, leaving the children oh his second wife as the royal line. Same principle here. Jon's claim is the most valid right now apart from Aegon the Re-conqueror but he's a Blackfyre.

its arguable sure, but in all reality, the throne belongs to the baratheon line. therefore, with all known legitimate Baratheons dead, cersei is actually the legitimate ruler now that i think about it. because as far as we know there exists no other true baratheons, and even though cersei is a lannister at heart her marriage to robert was legit. so it is by all means her throne unless another baratheon of legitimate birth exists out there.

Ramsey was legitimized by his father under the authority of his sovereign. Robb legitimized his brother, whom he didn't know was of a different name.

It's a tricky situation really. One for the medieval scholars.
I would think that if anything, he would be dubbed a Stark in name, but a Targaryen by blood.

as far as i understand.

the bastard can only inherit if there is no legimate children left alive.

unless its an agnatic succesion law. in which case only the males can inherit and thus jon would trump dane.

Wouldn't Robb only have the authority to legitimize him as a Stark, and not a Targ?
Why would one house have the authority to recognize another's bastard?

Cersei is going to be the one getting called mad queen.

Kings legitimise who they please, Ramsey was legitimised by a 'Baratheon' king after all.

It's down to the constitutional question whether Robb was ever a true king.

She was a massive cunt who married my father when I was five, divorced him after eight months, and stole literally everything on the way out. I mean everything. Even my fucking bed was gone. Then again, I was five, and didn't understand any of what was going on or why my house was empty.
