Day 1 will never be pleasant, thats a general rule
And no, It took me nearly a year to get GTAIV after it was released but as far as optimization problems They couldn't be that hard, I comp isnt even that powerful and it runs it at full spec.

Everyone was trying those shitty things so I can't blame them any more than the other companies.
Never liked L.A. Noire
And the songs were removed from SA because their copyright ran out the the lawyers pointed out they had the ability to removed them so they had to.
And GTA IV was fine, The aiming is still 100x better with a mouse, It's jsut harder to drive, and thats an issue that will always be around

clearly you didn't experience the misery that was gta iv's "optimisation" at the time of the release. even by todays standards it takes a pretty decent pc to run it well, a lot of people bought gta iv with reasonably powerful pc's and just couldn't run it. i'm sure gta v will eventually be a good pc port, but day 1 is not going to be pleasant

check "windows firewall with advanced security" and make sure that steam is allowed on inbound rules, then temporarily disable your antivirus and see if steam launches normally

I did. It's not there. .-.
I went to uninstall the client again and it started to uninstall my games that took 12 hours to download so I canceled it..now I feel like I fucked up more cause it deleted some files...should I just say fuck it and do it from scratch?
User avatar #280 - thedandude (01/16/2015) [-]
find the "steamapps" folder and move it somewhere safe like your desktop, then completly reinstall the steam client and move the steamapps folder back into the base steam directory. if you've got partially uninstalled games you can still repair them by verifying the integrity of the game cache using steam, so you don't have to download all of the games again
