Then that means that if someone is sexually attracted to animals, corpses, children (of either sex), plants, inanimate objects, etc. that they should accepted into society. after all they didn't have a choice, they like what they like. This argument is a slippery s;lope my friend if you accept one form of paraphilia you need to accept them all. save the double standards for the SJWs and Femnazis
User avatar
#135 - thecharliesheen (11/21/2014) [-]
Wrong. Two adult males are two CONSENTING adults. Two adult females are two CONSENTING adults, making it acceptable, as it doesn't really affect anyone but those two. Children are too young to consent, so it's harmful. If you're attracted to plants, well... Best of luck to you and the sexy ficus. Animals physically CANNOT consent, so it is considered harmful. I think that research should be done to help these people (and I guess gay people if they REALLY don't want to be gay), but the reason gay is pushing to be accepted is because it really doesn't HARM anyone.
#147 - anon (11/21/2014) [-]
Some animals seem really eager to fuck anything (yes I am ashamed for watching bestiality porn), and children are becoming more sexually aware (especially teenagers who lie about their age just to get fucked) so I think your argument falls alittle flat. Of course these may just be rare cases but we cant denie that they exist and if there is CONSENT between the parties involved then who are you to denie the love. I'm playing devils advocate b/c its fun to watch you lose you shit!
User avatar
#161 - thecharliesheen (11/21/2014) [-]
The problem is LEGALLY, it is considered harmful. Yeah, children are more sexually aware, but they also aren't developed enough to consider the consequences of their actions many times or even consider the fact that they're being taken advantage of ("Fuck you mom he really loves me!"), and like I said, animals CANNOT PHYSICALLY consent. Without laws, all that shit WOULD be legal and we wouldn't care (as would murder, robbery and all that other shit that people want to do sometimes due to imbalanced hormones, fucked up brain chemistry or just plain being a whiny fuck), but we DO have laws against harming things. Being gay isn't really harming anything, which is why it's debatable although the only arguments I've heard against it are either "GOD SAYS NO" or "eww it's gross" which aren't really valid arguments.

actually gay is a learned response. much like someones taste in music, it all is dependant on what you are exposed to
User avatar
#52 - thecharliesheen (11/20/2014) [-]
It's not though. It has to do with the excess levels of hormones in the body. It is not, in fact, what you are exposed to.
#103 - anon (11/20/2014) [-]
Excess thyroid hormone: medication
Too little thyroid hormone: medication
Attracted to same sex: ???

I wish medicine would have caught up with these issues before the politicians did. Makes me sad knowing how prevalent depression is in the gay community and knowing it isn't "acceptable" to seek treatment for it.

Wrong kind of hormone, pal. I'm talking estrogen and testosterone.

Injecting homosexual men with testosterone doesn't do much. They're still gay, and want to have sec even more.
User avatar
#196 - thecharliesheen (11/21/2014) [-]
Ah.. yeah, that's not how it works. The watered down version of the theory works like this.

When the child is developing inside the mother, there are certain factors that mess with the normal hormone levels of the developing child (things in the air, food, medications, even unclean water). Some of these things mess with the estrogen, testosterone, and a few other chemicals that define the baby. Now the chromosomes determine the physical sex of the baby, but the hormones are what develop the mental bit. If they get an overload of the opposite chemical, their brain still takes it in essentially, thus giving men the attraction to men (that a woman would normally have) and women attraction to women (like men would normally have).

Gay is a response, and sexuality is like music taste? Please tell me you're joking....

Homosexuality """""""""""""&q uot;"""""being a gay response"""""""""""" "" doesn't make any fucking sense, whatsoever, which is also clear in that certain animals also show homosexual tendencies.
#170 - karrotj (11/21/2014) [-]
if you notice more and more people are gay nowdays because they are bombarded from an early age with pro gay comments and ideas, and how straight people are homophobes and not cool like gay people
User avatar
#177 - christmouth (11/21/2014) [-]
Bullfuckingshit. Homosexuals are coming out of the closet, because society doesn't condemn it as it did just a few years ago. No, you can't switch sexuality, because of gay comments and gay ideas, and you're clearly talking out of your ass ,and you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

Calling straights homophobes won't turn people gay, and almost all gays want to, or wanted to at some point, tobe straight, because that is the norm, and is easier to be. Discovering one's sexuality and coming to terms with it is a very hard thing to do, and then getting accepted by the people around you is even harder, which is why a lot of gays choose to take their own lives.

Scientific research has been done, and it has observed that homosexuality has to do with genetics.
#178 - karrotj (11/21/2014) [-]

User avatar
#182 - christmouth (11/21/2014) [-]
That's because you were genetically predisposed to be curious about the opposite sex. Kids generally don't crave, but are just curious.

Anecdotes hold very little value, and I looked at his profile, and he incidentally converted to a religion that condemns homosexuality.

It can be that he never has gay in the first place, or was just a bisexual.
#188 - karrotj (11/21/2014) [-]
it is my opinion that 80% of the time guys choose to become gay because of the friendzone, shit ive even thought i might turn gay because of that shit, its a temptation but still a choice
User avatar
#190 - christmouth (11/21/2014) [-]
No, they're not the same thing.

There are married men with children, that come out of the closet. I very much doubt that that are a substantial number of people that turn to their own sexes, just because they can't get laid.

Anal sex isn't a "violent act". Monks are prohibited from having sex, but that's all sexes, but it's okey for the average person to have sex.
#191 - karrotj (11/21/2014) [-]
anal sex involves bleeding a lot of the time so yes it is violent. also man+man=gay woman+woman=gay bisexual includes man+man and woman+woman, now bi people arent homosexual but they are gay, gay means you like the same sex, doesnt mean you cant also like the opposite sex
User avatar
#192 - christmouth (11/21/2014) [-]
Bleeding doesn't mean that it's violent.

Gay has used in the past to describe homosexual men, and later on a synonym for homosexual. Okey, a bisexual can be gay, but bisexuality is not the same as homosexuality.

That guy you mentioned can still be bisexual, but he's just not having sex with men.
#193 - karrotj (11/21/2014) [-]
dude if it breaks the skin then the skin wasnt meant to be stretched that wide, means it was violent
User avatar
#194 - christmouth (11/21/2014) [-]
Violence is generally when someone wants to inflict pain, or to damage something, and anal sex doesn't fall into that category
#186 - karrotj (11/21/2014) [-]

You don't understand the term pay2win if that's what you think it is.

Pay2win means you can spend money to buy an advantage. By buying premium content, you get better equipment than anyone else, negating skill. What games typically have is pay2skip or pay2advance, which bypasses the grind the free players have to go through. Are there pay2win games out there? Yes, but it's less common than the accusation indicates.

Its fine if its a free to play game and they just charge for early access to weapons or to buy things like skins, as long as you can get the weapons with something earned in game. But only if the game is free from that start, there should be no cash shops if you have to pay to get the game.
#120 - jarofdirt (11/19/2014) [-]
Warframe has a pretty fair in-game economy. You can trade rare weapon parts, mods and skins with other players for platinum (the premium currency) without spending a dime on the game itself. By unlocking high-level instances, you can farm these rare parts even at low levels by inviting friends or even strangers to help you out.
#186 - ninheldin (11/20/2014) [-]
The problem with warframe is that it becomes just about unlocking new weapons, people wont do a mission unless they can get parts for something, but yes their system is pretty good

Yeah, if people want to spend their hard earned money buying weapons, that's fine so long as it can be earned in the game with actual skill and time. My balls get busted when I see people paying money for weapons that you can't have unless you pay for them. That shit pisses me off.

I think you underestimate the world of cooking. That's exactly what producers wanted by adding tons of sugar, salt, fat and monosodium glutamate. You've had so much of them, you can't feel how food tastes like without them - it's proven that after regularly using flavour enhancers you feel less flavour without them. It's no wonder you can't lay off the junk products - you've become a slave of overly intense flavours. But whatever floats your boat.

However, all this shit is expensive as fuck, and in my opinion, really doesn't taste as good. I don't want to spend money on more expensive shit to put in my food and only enjoy it half as much.

Not entire.

The yes: light dressing for ranch, cocoa nibs for chocolate chips, popcorn for chips, and yoghurt for cream, romaine for iceberg lettuce - once you get used to the lighter version, you won't wish to go back. Except for whipped cream - one thing yoghurt can't do. The salt is still salt -the himalayan one is just richer. Stevia is neat, but I prefer fructose. Tastier than sugar - and sweeter so you'll use it less.

The maybe:
Breadcrumbs and croutons - it's advised to skip bread entirely. But if you use it moderately, same thing with mayo btw it won't do you that much harm. Save almonds for when you want almonds.

The no-go:
Almond milk isn't milk - it's not a dairy product, it's a watered-down nut paste, so fuck that.
I wouldn't use coconut flour in place of wheat flour: Each flour has different properties, you make cakes with wheat one for a reason - some recipes are too risky to be tampered with.
Juice and water - you are absolutely free to drink any juice you like as long as you make it yourself. If not, it's usually no better than soda.
Coconut water for sports drinks - don't kind yourself, you don't do sports, skip both.
Cocoa oil for vegetable oil - they too have different properties - in general, the best choice is extra virgin olive oil; coconut oil is also very healthy, tho, and uncontested for high-heat cooking

The never:
Fuck sodas. Even if you'll sweeten your tea a lot, it's till far better. Think: Why taste regulators are always lemon extracts? Because sour taste negates the otherwise overwhelming sweetness caused by the shitton of sugar, that's why. Soda is 1/3rd sugar. Do a field test - drink a mix of 100 grams of sugar and 200 grams of tea. This is soda, but without sour-crippled taste.

No, I stand by my statement.
This entire list should be called "things you would already be doing if you didn't have something completely different in mind".
If I want chips, I want chips. Not fucking popcorn.
I don't want to skip bread entirely, I'll take my croutons. I fucking hate almonds.
I fucking HATE tea. It tastes like watered down leaf juice, which is exactly what it is. It might be bad for me, but at least I don't have to choke it down and try not to throw up.
I use sports drinks when I run, but not nearly enough to be an issue. This entire list is compiled of "healthy alternatives to shit that is bad for you", but we know that, and we use it anyways. The only thing that is mildly passable on here are the oils that we don't taste when we cook anyways.
