You seem to know a bit about this, you comment seems very well....prepared. Would you please point me to an example of one of these pay to play letters or perhaps the code or statute that requires them?

I dont really know more that what ive read and shared. I checked the links and sources, and whilst they confirm the information they dont really add much. If you want to read more about the Pay to Play rule, maybe check this out www.sec.gov/divisions/investment/pay-to-play-faq.htm

But, he arrived at the wrong time. Havoc was already inside the explosion, so Quicksilver couldn't even see him, and thus didn't save him.

I really don't give a shit about spoilers, and neither should you.

The fact that you personally don't care doesn't mean nobody else should. It's a dick thing to do no matter how you look at it

Studies show being "spoiled" actually improves reception of an event.

I usually enjoy being able to see the lead-up to an event for which I have been "spoiled."

For instance, I knew Quicksilver saving the day in X-Men: Apocalypse was coming, but still thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of it because of just how well-executed it was. Who knows? Maybe I enjoyed it more knowing shit was about to go down as soon as I saw the movie slow down for his entrance onto the scene?

In any case, I'll reiterate that I don't give a shit about spoiling you, or anyone else for that matter. It harms literally nobody, so if you think it's a "dick thing to do," toughen up.
#197 - astatine (06/21/2016) [-]
And what was the sample size of those studies? Was the event being spoiled TV, or some other medium? How did they measure the reception?

Fact is the majority of people don't like it when people see things they want to watch spoiled, and the fact that you personally don't care doesn't change that. As for it not harming anyone, that's not the point - it's a dick thing to do in the same way that muddling up the order of books in a library or not replacing the toilet roll when you finish it is, it makes you a nuisance. If I were the only person who didn't know it was coming and I was complaining about you telling everyone that Dumbledore was dead or Vader is Luke's father then I'd need to toughen up, but this is something that affects anyone who reads your comment.

It's just the polite thing to do to put spoilers in spoilers

If you're concerned about spoilers, you probably shouldn't be looking at the comments of content about this movie.

There was a point in time where many students were telling their parents that "E" stood for "Excellent," so the failing grade was changed to "F."
