The knife might work, but in my honest opinion it seems like a bad idea overall, unless you know what you are doing, or are using a long and flexible blade it might end up snapping, perhaps even jamming the door shut.

perhaps opening a window, or surely there must be a garage, or a secondary exit?

Okay more and more ridiculous ideas are coming into my head now, like spray water under the door to soften the cardboard enough to open the door just a little bit more for my first idea. Was also thinking there does appear to be a >5mm gap under this door. Tape a balloon to a straw, insert under box and inflate to roll.
Set fire to the box.
Unscrew the door.
Shout disapproval at the box until it leaves.
Order a pizza and the pizza guy can move it.

ANYTHING, but calling a friend 😂

Well that's also a good technique, especially both at the same time, and the whole cardboard box as well.

That door is at least 1.6 inches thick, the average finger is 3 inches, there's no way you could get enough finger out to lift that package up.

Fair enough, but what about the knife idea? I would just hate having to resort to calling a friend in this scenario, that would be too much like failure haha, there must be a window or something.
