Don't get your panties in a bunch m8, I'm just trying to get people to look behind the brostep/complextro bullshit. I know I was really damn happy to have found dubstep like Skream, Coki, Loefah, Mala, Kromestar, etc. etc.
Also this is one of the most popular dubstep albums/producers of all time, how the hell would I be a "hipster" for posting it?

His first album came out in 2006 and it was pure straight dubstep. He was in the scene around Big Apple records in croydon where dark garage started turning into more dubstep tune in like 2004 or so.
The 'dubstep' about now that americans have bastardised is just bullshit noisey filth, with neither the dub nor 2-step garage aesthetic that it originated with (Mala, Coki, Artwork, Skream, Kode9, etc...)
After playing dubstep for about 10 years he gave up and started playing more house orientated sets, and now he's just a disco loving kethead, but will forever be known as one of the godfathers of dubstep.
Learn your shit before you get arrogant.

Ayy croydon, my hometown. Used to bang out the old tunes daily.. Wish I was old enough to have gone FWD though. Barely get proper dubstep nights anymore.
Skreams doing a proper dubstep/garage night at XOYO at the end of the month I think.

Also I've also listened to 1 album he made (or w/e you wanna call it) it it was pretty clearly house: www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4hp75IwhV8
exact same build up and sound as house music has

He made dubstep before 2004 and after 2006... What he DJs and produces now is house or disco now, but that's only a recent thing really.
He's probably the most famous dubstep (I mean actual dubstep, not to sound like a twat) producer of all time and produced one of the most famous and influential dubstep songs of all time (Midnight Request Line).
I'm saying famous/influential with regards to the original scene btw.
