that's exactly what I said though. You see healthy breasts and your subconscious mind thinks that's a good trait for a mate to have. That's what all attraction is. That's why women like stronger men, or richer men. Women want to be taken care of, so they tend to look for certain traits. Evolutionarily speaking, men want to find a woman that will make a good mother. Wider hips mean that she will most likely not die during childbirth (da booty) and so on.
We're describing the psychological basics of attraction here. If we were to hide everything that could be considered attractive, everyone would be wearing burkas. Just because it's attractive, doesn't mean it's sexual.

I would call losing 17% of their exports and 8% of their imports pretty brutal, not to mention they'd be on the bad side of a superpower that has shown its willingness to encourage sanctions on countries they have issues with. To each his own, I guess. Have a good one.

The numbers differ a bit depending on source, so I take one for comparement. I use the OEC of MIT. Accoding to that, it would be even 19% of exports with 8% imports, with petroleum being the majority. Russia and some middle eastern countries would be at the ready for getting a bigger part of the cake on that one. However it's also 22% of US imports (lots of electronics) and 9% exports on the other hand. Not to mention the multiple billions of bonds China owns from the US.
It would hurt both countries bad (I'd think the US more but that's my personal opinion) and will most likely not happen. At least not in the next couple of decades.
If a lot of other countries, majorly European ones back the sanctions it would indeed fuck China over.

i don't get the comic either. as far as i know the russians and chinese have been trying to undermine the US for half a century now, they even signed that shit that should abolish the pertrol dollar.
Are they trying to say, china can't survive without the US consumption, because thats simply not true

We cannot thrive without China and China cannot thrive without us. Both would go into a deep recession if all ties were cut. But, that is just about impossible. Too many jobs depend on the two together. We owe China a shitload of money, but we make them a shitload of money. It's more of an investment. What do you think would happen? China all the sudden says pay up or else? Or else what? Nobody wants that war, including China.

Another note: We owe China money because they've basically bought bonds. They don't straight up give us cash that we need. They invest in our economy and banking system by buying bonds that take some time to mature. So every year they buy, (arbitrary number) $1 Million in bonds. Except it takes (arbitrary number again) 27 years for those bonds to mature. They always purchase the same time-maturing bonds, so we pay them back pretty much the same amount every year. So, if they cash those in early, we owe them less than $1 Million for the bond. However, we also have an agreement that they can't hold them for longer than (arbitrary) 3 years past their maturity date. This ensures China isn't garnering a shitload of on the bonds, and the US continues to use China as, basically, a giant banking system.
If China tried cashing in ALL of their bonds NOW, we'd pay them...flooding their economy with money, crashing it, sending them in to a recession, and making them all sad.
Also, whoever said China holds most of our debts, try again: The private sector of the United States owns a majority of our own debt. Thanks.
TL;DR: America could crash the Chinese economy, we have no obligation to pay them back every penny now, America owns it's own debt.
