One big ol' brutal son of a mother.
Into heresy and techshit, mostly heretech.
Therefore Techketzer, meaning techheretic in the language of the most innovative and intellectually bright nation of this sorry planet.

Speaking of this planet, once I'm done with it you will all bow to me.
Not because I order it, but because you will want to.

Also, miniwargamer, airsofter, writer, and officer of the Grammar Gestapo.

Socialism has nothing to do with communism.

Socialism is where the government uses public funds to provide public works and/or services. The form of government does not matter. It can be a constitutional monarchy, it can be a junta.

In America we have a Socialist Republic. We build public roads using tax money. We fund public education using tax money. We fund fire departments, police forces, ect, with tax money. Tax money=public funds.

A system of common ownership doesn't seem possible unless everyone lives and works within walking distance from eachother and everybody involved wants to be involved. I mean, I really can't see any way to do it otherwise.
User avatar #81 - toastedspikes (05/09/2013) [-]
It works because everyone NEEDS to be involved. It implies you do not have a say in anything unless it affects you in some way. You seem to assume that people cannot possibly, ever, take responsibility for their own survival, wellbeing and luxury.
User avatar #52 - techketzer (05/09/2013) [-]
Even then it is doomed to fail.
A centralized economy is effectively a planned one, and as soon as that plan deviates from projected reality the slightest bit, a chain reaction of shortages, rationing and resulting economical chaos spreads explosively throughout the entire system until its total collapse and breakdown.
#55 - xxpredatorxx (05/09/2013) [-]

The means of production is driven by entrepreneurs, not common ownership. I already explained why "classlessness, moneylessness, and statelessness" is not possible. And "social order" is just another form of the heirarchy communism is opposed to. Everything about communism is just plain wrong.

User avatar #43 - dashgamer (05/09/2013) [-]
"Stateless" is anarchy. "Moneyless" is the primordial real goods bartering system, which is not possible for a nation, as virtual and representative money do a hell of a lot more for an infrastructure and cost a hell of a lot more to maintain than the goods that their values represent. "Classless" is already established in capitalism: people are not restrained by an economic class or social class, they rise and fall according to their actions, their ingenuity, and their efficacy in their profession.
Communism is socialism. The distinction between the two is negligible, and what you have described is not practicable.
User avatar #79 - toastedspikes (05/09/2013) [-]
Stateless is anarchy Yes. And? VERY different from any kind of statism which is what socialism inherently implies.

_ "Moneyless" is the primordial real goods bartering system, which is not possible for a nation, as virtual and representative money do a hell of a lot more for an infrastructure and cost a hell of a lot more to maintain than the goods that their values represent. _

Wrong. Shows you know absolutely nothing about leftism. All it means is an absence of a monetary system, not a currency system. Communism as well as socialism uses forms of currency such as labour notes as well as gift economies.

"Classless" is already established in capitalism: people are not restrained by an economic class or social class, they rise and fall according to their actions, their ingenuity, and their efficacy in their profession.

Yep, that's why the majority of people in Africa are well off. Not because of geographical location, not because of inherited wealth or poverty, not because of political stability, not because of globalisation, not because of monopolisation, not because of inherent exploitation, not because of hierarchal structures in employment. Nah, because "they're just too lazy".
User avatar #46 - techketzer (05/09/2013) [-]
Are you kidding me?
You can go home with your interpretations, I'm talking definitions here.

"Communism (from Latin communis - common, universal) is a revolutionary socialist movement to create a classless, moneyless[1][2] and stateless social order structured upon common ownership of the means of production, as well as a social, political and economic ideology that aims at the establishment of this social order."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communism

The difference between a communist society and a socialist one is not negligible, but as vast as the difference between an anarchist and a totalitarian one; the presence of a state and government.
I'm not saying either makes any sense, because it does not, but those are the definitions in place.
#114 - tomthehippie (05/09/2013) [-]

The difference is one has less life left to live.
If we look at the life of a human, the average human lives somewhere around 80 years or so. If you kill a 60 year old, they didn't have much life left to live anyways. Only 20 "life points".
Now take a young child, maybe 10 or so. They have a lot of "life points" left, and haven't truly had time to become who they should be.

A younger child represents more potential as well. They could become nigh on anything, helping the race as a whole. An old adult is more likely to be stuck in its patterns.
User avatar #308 - techketzer (05/07/2013) [-]
I refuse to assign different value to human lives.
It is exactly this that has ended in the most horrific slaughters and atrocities in all of history.

The "I have no memory of this place"-moment.
I have those once in a while. I guess everyone does. Even Gandalf. :)

The site has changed, to say the least.

And like... so many thumbs. I can remember when 30 thumbs got you to the top of the list.

Seemingly has been coined, "The Frontpage" by everyone now.
User avatar #88 to #87 - techketzer (09/18/2012) [-]
Frontpage, the holy grail of all funnyjunkies and cesspool of stolen content, thumbwhores and reposts.
I've long since given up reaching it.

My home is the comment section, /hating/ and ponytime.
Me watching ponies. Who would have thought?
User avatar #89 to #88 - bambishinkou (09/18/2012) [-]
Yeah I guessed that after seeing Reddit and 4chan content plastered all over it.

I'm just here to chat with folk and upload a comic or two from time to time.

I also kinda just joined because this seems like a friendly site forum thing that is good towards anyone gay/trans/ ******* etc.

Meh, FJ can be heartless and cold at times. There are strange dynamics at work here, one day FJ likes a certain thing, the next it hates it, the third it doesn't care.

However, there are many incredibly kind and helpful people frequenting especially /advice/ and ponytime.
/politics/ is an unholy mess, tough, haha.

Apparently I now has Pretzel.

Once would think that after getting thumbed down to high hell, you would be able to realize you're a ******* idiot on the subject you were arguing..
#74 to #73 - techketzer (09/11/2012) [-]
Once would think? Oh yeah? What would Once think? Who is Once anyway?
You may have accidentally your sentence.

Also no, thumbs mean nothing besides a bunch of ******* disagreeing with me. Meaningless.

I accidentally pressed the "c" key. Big whoop.
.. But seriously dude, the facts from your argument look like they were obtained from one of the stupid-ass comps someone would post on FJ
User avatar #76 to #75 - techketzer (09/11/2012) [-]
Yeah, it's just ironically funny when trying to berate another for apparent stupidity of all things.

"the facts from your argument look like they were obtained from one of the stupid-ass comps someone would post on FJ"
What the hell's that even supposed to mean? Either they're facts or they aren't.
And believe me, even a quick google search will confirm these are actually facts.

Actually, don't believe me, do the search and see for yourself.

No matter what they do, who they are, or what they say. i'll keep my pistol and my rights.
User avatar #71 to #70 - techketzer (09/03/2012) [-]
Exactly. You owe them nothing.
User avatar #72 to #71 - MCPO (09/03/2012) [-]
Taxes, jury duty, and census information, that's about it. My draft notice is 1-C(Dis.) witch means I completed my military service and was discharged, so I wouldn't be the first candidate for an emergency draft.

User avatar #65 to #64 - techketzer (08/19/2012) [-]
I want to thank you, good fellow, for those were excellent offers.
I sincerely hope you profited from our trades as much as I did.

You must be faster than everyone else on FJ.
User avatar #58 to #57 - mrkickasscomedy (08/15/2012) [-]
you were talking about you wanting to trade some items i wanted to see if you were legit
User avatar #59 to #58 - techketzer (08/15/2012) [-]
I said I wanted to trade for a pie item, but scored one in the meantime.
Yeah, I'm don't have the greatest items, but I recently got lucky on a few sweet ones. :)
User avatar #61 to #60 - techketzer (08/15/2012) [-]
Why do you ask? Do you want to trade for something?
User avatar #62 to #61 - mrkickasscomedy (08/15/2012) [-]

this is the page you get when you to access a blocked website

Megaupload has been always blocked, they blocked Rapidshare and Hotfile for a couple of days and I almost lost my mind :D
and many torrent websites are blocked, luckily You need to login to view this link isn't (I think it was before)
User avatar #48 to #47 - techketzer (08/14/2012) [-]
Awful. Just awful. They should be ******* ashamed of themselves.

If I can help you with anything internet related, just ask.
User avatar #49 to #48 - spinsser (08/14/2012) [-]
don't worry D,, I'm a geek mee-self, and I know my way around computers

blocking isn't bad, what would be bad is if each IP is tied to your ID :D, that would be horrible
User avatar #50 to #49 - techketzer (08/14/2012) [-]
That wouldn't be horrible, that would be the end.
At least we can count on you people to outsmart these idiots in government any opportunity you get, can't we? ;)
User avatar #51 to #50 - spinsser (08/14/2012) [-]
I know, if they did that (and since we are changing soon to IPv6, so they have a chance to integrate it soon :S :S )
with IPv6 there wouldn't be NATing since the number of IPs would be sufficient for every human on earth, so it would possible to assign 10-100 IP per person that are linked to your ID :S.
but you can always count on people to break it :D
User avatar #52 to #51 - techketzer (08/14/2012) [-]
Exactly. They can try as they like, but no tyranny is forever.
People will always overcome oppression and fight for freedom.
User avatar #53 to #52 - spinsser (08/14/2012) [-]
true, but it would be a lot harder if they do what I'm afraid they might do :D
and not only in KSA, they might even do it worldwide :|
User avatar #54 to #53 - techketzer (08/14/2012) [-]
I think there's a great decision coming towards us.
The internet may set us all free over time, but if it fall into the hands of an oppressor, we may not have a chance to resist any longer.
Possibilities of control and surveillance are so great and irresistible with modern technology that this might be our last chance not to go the road that leads to a worldwide dictatorship.

I am confident we'll make the right choice, however.
User avatar #55 to #54 - spinsser (08/14/2012) [-]
here is what I think.
when the Internet first started, it wasn't considered a big deal, and governments didn't care about it that much)
but in the last 10 years it started to improve drastically and turned into a country where you can do almost anything, so they don't know if they should practice law that is as strict as real life laws, or shouldn't.

they are going to do that sooner or later, because the Internet is too powerful to be unnoticed, but unlike real-life the power isn't only given to people with money, or people with guns, it's given to people with brains, people who understand it and try to improve it for them and others, so it's going to be a great fight :D,,
and epic one
#36 - marceau (08/12/2012) [-]
I will start with the one I have given.
