Exactly, cellphone tracking, all three ways to do so, are more accurate than IP address tracking, though, when they turn location off, you still have the picture itself that usually maintains some tractable information. And if everything else fails you can do a reverse image search which will work great on popular places.

True, though let's have an example. If I gave you a picture with which to try and find me, all you'd have is my face and a wall with a Vancouver Canucks 2011 playoffs towel and a Real Madrid scarf hanging on it. Remove tagging, you've got no IP. Best assumption, I'm in or around Vancouver due to my good English. Assuming this isn't an apartment, that rules out most of the actual city center, leaving an area from Horseshoe Bay to Hope and as far north as Whistler open for me to live in. Looking at my comment history, I've talked about Metrotown and the transit system, so I'm somewhere near Surrey. That's about as far as you can get, within 316 square kilometers and 468000 people. I'd say home free eh mate?

So long as nobody goes posting nudes with specific types of beer, being one person out of a possible million or more isn't too big a risk to take I think. Then again, considering most nudes being taken on cell phones, one could just check the geotagging and save a whole assload of time with whatever process they'd otherwise use.

Funnyjunk is a secure site, all IPs are hidden except for the site itself. that's why I stated earlier that I doubted DJ 4DM1N would give me the anon's IP, as only DJ 4DM1Nistration and moderators have access to everyone's IP.
