Okay, considering that we're talking about America here, try mass stabbings in America.

It's kind of cute how your only comparing mass stabbings and mass shootings. Violent crime rate comparisons, deterred crimes, increase in all other forms of violent attacks (stabbings, bludgeoning, etc.) when guns are heavily regulated, number of guns involved that are illegal/stolen/etc., mean absolutely nothing to you apparently, just what shows up on the news eh?

If you think you made the amazing discovery that when there are less guns in an area, there are less gun deaths, then I applaud you for coming to a realization many statisticians assumed decades ago.
User avatar #342 - wallbuilder (07/01/2014) [-]
Yeah, true, should be paying attention to all non-gun weapons. I was mostly trying to make a point that it's six point eight fucktons easier to kill a lot of people with a gun than any other weapon(excluding bombs, obviously).
User avatar #343 - noblexfenrir (07/01/2014) [-]
Well ofcourse people are going to choose the easiest way to achieve their goal. If someone couldn't get ahold of a gun, I'm sure they would attempt to get a bomb. If they were unable to, and still desired to cause damage then I would think a knife would be their next choice.

The fact is, if you specifically refer to "Mass shootings" you can't compare the entire US to individual countries, the population differences are just ridiculous. (Then you even have to differentiate what a mass shooting is, since most people who make these lists apply rules like a specific bodycount that causes a large portion of Europes shootings to be discarded because 1 person too few died.)

Then as I said, you have to also compare these to other crime rates. While Europe has a lower average gun death rate, their levels of violent crimes such as muggings, rapes, and robberies dwarf the US' rates.

There were 10 assailants.
And now, lets compare the number of mass shootings to the number of mass stabbings.

Okay.

And before we start again, we should probably consider this:
