When a white actor plays a character of any other ethnicity people cry whitewashing and racism. A legitimate outcry is made on mainstream media. When the same thing happens with a black actor it is praised as progressive and diverse.
And while there are those against shoehorning black actors into non-black roles, we are mostly fringe groups on online forums that would be labelled as racists by the mainstream media and public.
The response is not equivalent and I am not being hypocritical here.

You originally claimed that he was a part of the backlash which contradicts your argument that he is "pretty much causing 'riots' because they took an asian character and casted them as a black guy" because he was actually pointing out the white-washing double standard. My point was that he was not part of your "riots" that you originally grouped him up in. If he is grouped with the "riots" then that makes the reasoning behind the "riots" appear to be about the double standard. And yes, there is a huge double standard with race casting. If you don't see that, you are blind as hell.

Black people would get mad if you white-wash a black character, yet it's okay if white characters are made black. How is that not a double standard? The guy was complaining about the double standard. What are you talking about?
