I do, I had to learn the learn Nuclear Theory from the Department of Energy's publications, radiation interactions with matter (including neutron radiation) become familiar with reactor operations, reactor theory+neutron lifecycle and other operations, and I have operated one a few times (only under the discretion of supervisor licensed by the NRC).

I hope I didn't really tick you off, but I love uranium... and other fertile + fissile materials.

I do admit that Uranium isn't the Be-All-End-All of energy, but it certainly is significant none the less. There are a lot of "unclean" and "weak" energy sources, but the politics behind nuclear is really a shame.

The reason why a lot of countries haven't funneled millions into different and more competent versions is between politics and public stigmatism. Creating a reactor costs ALOT of money, and people have the tendency to believe all reactors are susceptible to the same fate (most reactor failures are operator/experimental errors)

Fusion might be the apex of energy, to be honest. The energy liberation per nucleon is IMMENSE in comparison to the fission of Heavy isotopes (e.g. Th-232->U-233, U-235, U-239).

The problem with nuclear fission in general is there is such a potential to produce either Toxic chemicals (in the break down and decay of fission products) or the fission products are highly radioactive isotopes and may have long half lives.

For instance www-nds.iaea.org/wimsd/fpyield.htm#T1 look at all the decay products of U-233 (Th-232's decay product after neutron absorption and decays)

>Says fuck Uranium.
>Thorium 232 becomes Thorium 233 by neutron absorption
>Beta decays to protactinium
>beta decays to Uranium 233 which is actually fissile.

It does produce fewer actinides but y u talk shyt bout Uranium?

U beta pleb.
fUck U.
Do U even wUrk in a nUclear reactor?

Do you work in one? I just want to know. Uranium is holding us back from the cleaner, more powerful, and cost affective - in a game of leage hokd

I'll say it again, maybe in a more understandable manner, GROW THE **** UP, GET THE **** OUT OF YOU'RE HOUSE, YOU'RE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT, YOU SLEAZY PIECE OF **** . I know the kinds of person you are. I don't like it. No one does.

One day this attitude you have might get you killed. Death, death is what I'm saying.
