It wasn't much of an argument, I'm just a total Roman fanboy.

So are you Greek or what? No offense but the pantheon is kinda silly, people have been on top of mount olympus you know.

Yeah. No more silly than the pantheon of roman gods, or any doctrine in the Christian faith. You realize that in the philosophy of our faith the gods exist on a spiritual plane rather than a physical one, so while people might have been on the Mount Olympus here, we'd be on the crazy side to assume that the gods ACTUALLY lived up there. People had been up to the top of Mount Olympus in the times when people worshiped the Gods in great numbers, it didn't make the idea of them less real.

Well, technically almost everyone needs to ask for forgiveness since wearing clothes of 2 different types of thread is a sin.
#22 - lazragoon (05/13/2013) [-]
That's the old testament, most Christians pay no attention to it.
User avatar
#38 - zafara (05/13/2013) [-]
Yes, but the old testiment also claims that male homosexuallity is a sin, but people still pay attention to that, unfortunately. Nothing against female homosexuallity though........

Like I said, modern Christians pay no attention to the Old Testament, even most Priests have started to accept gay people. I go to a Catholic High-School, and gay people are fully welcomed into the community. Only die-hard slow-minded Christians believe that the Old Testament has any say-so in what goes on today. Sadly, these lunatics are the very same people who gain all the media attention, mainly because mankind's insatiable for other peoples misfortune and stupidity.

That was your lecture for today, have a gif.

Why are you upset? I pretty much said what you said, although you just expanded on it. Plus, I was making a joke about people dissaproving of gay people. Mayhaps it was my discovery of the emoticons that threw you off? I have no problem with gay people, and even have a gay aunt who is married to another women, and they have two daughters. By the way, did you know Westboro gets money everytime someone goes on their website? So to recap, I share your veiws, but may have not been clear enough, and you thumbed me down because of this and yelled at me because I was testing out emoticons. Please inform me if I am wrong.
#161 - lazragoon (05/14/2013) [-]
EDIT: Fakin shit why can't I post comments correctly

I ain't the one who thumbed ya down mate. I know you agreed with me, however, you pointed out something in the Old Testament that a very little population of people pay attention to. Also, the emoticon takes away any credibility of what you were saying. And the gif was just for if you actually read through the whole thing, I didn't pay attention to which one I took, don't take it offensively if you did. : D

#163 - zafara (05/14/2013) [-]
Oh that's ok. I agree, the emoticon actually does take away credibility. I'm not sure why it was put on. While we're on the subject, you might want to check out this article. Just take away the space between the can and the put.

Not a joke. This is a man who used to be in the military, and was famous for getting into trouble and goofing off. Although now he is joined by several other people. Ever seen one of those (insert number here) rules (insert name here) is not allowed to do lists? Well, this is the guy who started it all. Just go to page one and be entertained for days.

People nitpick and use what they like for their side of the argument like the creationist "scientists" you see all over they are"right" and their "facts" work because they use what supports them and disregard anything that would make them wrong.

I think you mean Holy Zeus' Beard.

(I personally believe in the Greek Gods.)
User avatar
#43 - pistro (05/13/2013) [-]
Sorry if my question sounds dumb, but why do you believe in this religion? I mean, school teach this as a religion of an ancient culture, nothing more... Is there some place that workships it as a valid religion?

User avatar
#68 - sorrowofdaedalus (05/13/2013) [-]
Yes there are. There are 14 states that recognize it as a religion due to the followers within, and it's starting to make a rise in Europe, or so I've been told.

The old ways have gods that make much more sense than the concept of Monotheism in general, let alone just christianity,
