I love the derp cannon it has on WoT, but man I love using Dead Eye with the long barrel. Thing hits like a truck with reliable consistency of knocking out modules.

KV2 GENOCIDE, BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
I main soviet tanks, tho. Used the KV2 a bunch, but it felt too easy. I got called "filthy baby seal clubber". It felt like so, tbh.
At this point I just start every round on arcade with the trusty tier 1 BT-5 to rush the points and annoy slow moving enemy tanks

Nothing better than harrassing togs in the kv2. I hate they nerfed the KV-1s so hard.

I find it fascinating that the KV2 is still a reliable option when I use tanks at tier 4 and the matchmaking puts me against tanks with thick armor and everything

Thanks for the heads up! I don't think I'll be approaching the 700W max for a while yet (The graphics card that comes with the computer could run with the stock 500W safely), but I'll definitely put a Corsair PSU on my upgrade list.

The PC's standard spec has a shitty 500W, so I've upgraded to a 700W one. It's not Corsair (Those were way out of my price range for even the low wattage ones). How reputable are the Aerocool Integrators?
User avatar #173 - sonictheblueguy (06/01/2015) [-]
I'm not sure about Aerocool but it seems that cheap PSU's wont actually go to their max wattage and the 20% safety margin should be more of a 30-40% one depending how cheap you've gone. The real killer though is that they don't have any safe guards for if they do fail. This could be anything from a gentle pop and the psu dies. Or! and this has happened before. the entire PC catches fire. Like physical fire. yeah it can be bad. Just try and keep it way below that 700w and you should be good.

They're not generally better, they just won the previous generation race. It's been like this for years. AMD is comming out with their answer to the 900-series very soon and it's gonna be glorious.

Nvidia has always been on top mostly because it's what some people remember. They remember their old Nvidia card running their windows 97 computer and it was magic to them. So they stick with the brand. I do believe they have a slight upper hand but when it comes to publicity and marketing nvidia has it made.

Its not a problem with amd its just that for whatever reason its just much more frequent to have stability issues with amd stuff because the devs didnt optimize for it. Probably half of the games I got since I bought my computer, in my opinion, should have ran better than they did but didn't just because of optimization issues. I still get 20-35 fps on Dying Light just because the games doesnt like amd cpus. I got way more gains than what makes sense on Assassins Creed when I switched to the 970. From something like 20-30 with drops to low 20's on any graphics preset (very low to ultra.. same shit) to stable 50's with no sudden drops on ultra. Idk what it is bout amd's shit but it just gets the short end of the stick from devs. But in terms of a cooler. Hyperx 212 evo .In terms price for performance..... were talking 35 bucks for one of the most highly regarded coolers around. Its pretty big though... bigger than I expected so you might want to make sure it will fit in your case since im assuming its not anything crazy with your budget. The 612 is a smaller version of it and Ive read good things about it but it costs like twice as much. The speccy screen cap I sent earlier are my idle temps with my current build. Before I bought it and with a year of playing games on ultra with stock cooler my idle temps had risen to roughly twice what they are now, which obviously was really bad. So that's what I'd recommend.

Yeah case size shouldn't be an issue it's pretty huge. I got stuck with a full size ATX motherboard so I kinda got forced into a big case. Thanks for the info though

What I was getting at was not that you should get top of the line shit in order to get max frame rates. I was trying to say that for whatever reason amd always gets the short end of the stick in terms of optimization. So much so (in my experience with my all amd build) that I wouldn't recommend budget oriented amd products anymore. I would just tell you to wait another month or so.. save 100 more and buy the nvidia or intel equivalent of whatever it is you wanted to buy. Simply because its much more stable.
User avatar #74 - sonictheblueguy (05/30/2015) [-]
Intel has a lot more funding than AMD does. as for Nvidia... they're just generally better. but that also means they can price their cards at whatever they want and people will pay it. Instability doesn't mean it can't do it. it just means you have to be competent enough to know how to make it do it. Also while I've got your attention I desperately need to upgrade my CPU cooler from stock, any suggestions?
