I'm Katie, and I have a wide variety of tastes. If anyone, and I do mean anyone, needs someone to talk to, vent to, I'm here. I'll also just talk to you if you're a cool person. I love Emma Stone, Emma Watson, and the name Emma. I like Doctor Who, My Little Pony, and other shows like that. I'm an atheist and I'm not straight.

I'm not gonna put my photo up, haha.
I believe this conversation has dwindled. Have a lovely day.

Indeed! I find these far better than the actual content of the site!

All of the boards are friendly! Well, maybe not the social one. But usually the shops are funny and the people who are being shopped usually laugh at themselves.
You are allowed to have your own opinion and be respected of whatever it may be. It's like... anti-funnyjunk. All of the mature people lurk here.

Aye, it's all just practice. Tattooing is just another medium of art, it's like going from pencil to paint, hard to grasp, but then can make you into a better artist :) I personally love realistic surrealism and realistic polka trash, what I want to specialise in :)

I find it hard to get the time and motivation to do it. One thing I find stressful as an artist is that I am not a doodler, I have to proportionalise everything, and so on. So this means I can't just doodle something and then find it good and continue, I have to sit down, rough sketch, reference (to a degree) and the whole maalarchy. Stressful!

Agh, that sucks. I usually just doodle and doodle. I drew a baby in it's crib once and about 10 minutes later I came back to it and added a monster-like creature behind it. I lost that, but still.
Maybe you should take requests on here and see what kind of results you get. Maybe some funnyjunker will open up the creative part of your mind.
Tattoo-ing must be kind of difficult, though. Not only do you have to be able to draw something (which is hard enough already), but you then have to recreate that onto someone's skin.

Animation would be great! I've only just decided in the past 6 months in doing this, as I had very traditional and academic parents. They saw art as a hobby, not something I could do as a career.

Yeah, I get that. My parents were supportive of whatever hobby I had and I've skipped around with my talents a lot since I was younger. I don't think they have any faith in me actually doing something with my talents, though.
I went from claymation to mosaic and glass work. Then I started drawing and writing. Now I'm doing all of those things at the same time- summer break.
