I went to public school in the us and learnt all that stuff but the jump starting a car but that just takes common sense.

My school had the classes but they weren't mandatory so I only learned about half of those things, which was mostly in my freshman year of highschool and they didn't put emphasis on anything really so I ended up forgetting most of it. Yay public school.

That isn't the public school system being bad.

We(as in the people on fj) are all able to be looking this shit up our selves and learning it on our own. If you don't choose to learn it on your own or don't choose to take the classes to learn it you are the on that is responsible for you lack of knowledge on the matter no one else.

As a highschool freshman I think it would have been a little too much to expect me to think that far ahead. As for the rest of highschool, I didn't really give a crap, so my bad on that. Anyways the reason I think they could have done better is because while I was learning about taxes and such there was never any real life uses being taught, just learning about how they work. I DID however learn how to jumpstart a car, on an actual car. my driver's Ed class was probably the most useful of them all. I only took mandatory classes or what I saw as important, at the time I wasn't trying to learn about paying for a house or learning how to live on my own, but now I can research it on my own.

I am not trying to say public school are perfect they aren't they are pretty horrible in some places but, people all the time are bitching about how they never learnt stuff in school and what not but then you look back at there classes and they are the ones with like 3 studies hall classes a day because they are the ones that chose to not take extra classes.

Or you could take your education into your own hands. You have an ever expanding place of knowledge with the internet, try using it.

PS+ is only required for playing online, but you still get the free games, trials, themes, avatars etc. along with discounts on games which is a way better deal than Gold.

It is $5 a month but there's a lot of benefits for it like free games every month.

acutally, paying 5 a month would still mean 60 a year, a year of xbox gold is 65 bucks, so not much of a difference now.

You can get a year membership subscription to ps+ for 50 bucks

I doubt Sony would do that, but if they do, I'll bite the bullet anyway.
5 dollars a month is like 9000% better that the shitty card-to-card whenever-I-can-get-to-Walmart shit I do now.
I'm done with paying 24.95 for 3 months of service I barely use. Its realy retarded that you need Gold Membership to use god-damned Netflix. Like, fucking really?
#31 - slicnic (06/16/2013) [-]
well i heard you dont need to buy the playstation plus for netflix, but for the online play stuff you do need to buy that.
