I know that pretty much anyone in America can legally buy a hand gun and in most states they are allowed to carry it on them.
That does not make me feel safe, hand guns are completely banned here. there is no use for them in civilian life, the only reason to own a hand gun is because there are so many pretty old revolvers.

21 and older never commited a felony and never been charged with domestic assault. theres quite a few limits on itmost places do not allow you to carry it on you. alaska is the only state to not require a concealed carry permit most states require a gun license. federal building banks and other such buildings can and do prevent guns on the premise. im not scared of law abiding citizens owning legal guns. but when i dont have a gun and illegal guns are being held by criminals i dont feel safe

Have you actually checked Australias gun laws?
There is not one thing about them that is unreasonable.
From what i know Americans think guns are completely banned over here.

i wasnt saying that at all. i was asking what your perception of gun laws in the us is because it sounds like you think we have wholesale military surplus at walmart to anyone who wants one. automatics are illegal, certain calibers are illegal, background checks are always performed, some states require seven day waiting period. we have limits we have restrictions. the retarded minority of the populations isnt close to what gun owners are

User avatar #270 - sketchE (12/07/2014) [-]
military grade weapons? not from the law abiding citizens who work nine to five jobs and have a shotgun in a gun safe or locked in its case. you cant buy an AK from cabellas or bass pro shop. you cant get an uzi from walmart. most states do require background checks to even sell a gun. even in alaska where our gun license is part of the constitution and nothing more you have to do quck check before selling a gun to a person. and its not oh you look like a nice guy its hey federal agency can i sell this guy a 22 repeater

The problem is, in this day and age, it's hard for anyone with little to no background to simply 'get a job'.

Everyone wants you to either be experienced, or to have a college education. And to have either of those, you generally need a job to fuel them. And to have a job, you have to have those. So if you don't have those, you don't have a job, and in not having a job, well, you don't earn either of those.

It's fairly basic logic. You have a fairly slim set of chances to get 'in the loop', and once you're in you have to try to fight your way to the middle. The things is, once you fall out of the loop, you generally can't get back in again.

In the meantime, the country that expects these young adults to eventually run things allows them to be paid less than three dollars an hour under the idea that none is going to screw them for tips, because 'naturally tips will equal things out'.

If that's not bad enough, they've already proven that the minimum wage, supposed to be the minimum amount of money earned an hour to live at a minimum standard(roof, utilities, clothes, food) is no longer even able to do that, because the rise of product prices rose exponentially faster than the minimum wage climbed.

So in reality, in a nation where you aren't even making a true minimum wage, you have fucksticks who are alighting you even more, in a nation that already makes it hard to gain a job regardless, all while raising the prices of what they need to survive.

But hey, by all means don't tip the guy/girl that is trying to save up money with a shit job because its all they could get as they put themselves through college to be (insert important job here). After all, the old farts that run this country are immortal or some bullshit right? We don't need the youth to grow up and take the reigns one day.

Right?

Right?

little money is better than no money and people who try hard and get a job at a nice restaraunt are going to stay through the crap pay so they at least have a reference they can use. ive never had to work food service in my life but i still know they have to put up with some of the worst fucks in this society and some still give 100 percent every day and those deserve something

less than minimum wage. restaraunts are allowed to pay servors less than minimum wage since in the us its assumed theyll get tipped. of course if they dont make it theyre fine and you cant use the defense of foreigners since theyll prbably make more than enough from the rest of us and the company must pay them at least minimum wage either through tips or wages
