As far as Physics goes, I think that uni is great for getting started in doing things like research, group work, lab work, and teaching and being taught by your peers more often.
As far as learning materials go, we were essentially just told which textbooks to buy and then told that we 'had to learn how to teach ourselves.'
That latter part really hurt my motivation, and got in the way of the former, but if you can get through the tedious bits, with proof of your progress, it'll pay off may more than you expect (or at least way more than I was told before it was too late).
Also being surrounded my smart peers can be pretty neat js.

When you attend a school, what you'd expect to get out of it is some form of education. Can't really say that education itself is worthless, but depending on how it comes about, can make it seem worthless. There can be a myriad of reasons why, but overall its it up to you to decide whether or not your experience was worth your time.

Uni itself is more flexible and easier to deal with just for that reason, but I was getting out of my high school phase when I entered my first day and I did not care so much. Eventually, I reasoned that Uni was best to expand my future opportunities, since I don't have many at the moment. Could be different with you.

Always act on an opportunities when they come, friend. They'll lead you to success.

Yeah it's a lot of fun. Drinking with friends is completely different from going to clubs or parties. Also, all you gotta do is buy some beer and invite some friends over to watch a movie. You don't even have to be great friends with people to invite a group of them over for a movie night.

That looks like someone I was friends with since I was four. He joined the military out of highschool and was killed in the line of duty 3 years ago. His birthday is two weeks from now and I'm gonna get him a present he'd like and leave it with his family.
