Hi there. My name is Simplescience, my real first name being Matt. I came to funnyjunk in the hopes of making it a little better than when I found it. Optimistic, cheerful, and a logical thinker, I do my best to make other people feel better if they are down.

My profile picture is of Mr. Game and Watch using the move Judgement: 9. This move has a 1/10 chance of bringing up a 9. If a 9 comes up and it connects with an opponent, it is a One-Hit Knock Out.

To answer your review, you are most likely correct. The term for what you're describing is called "Mob Mentality", and it's a staple of how society/culture works.

That of course does not mean anything should be liked universally, because people shouldn't have to be extensions of each other in order to be considered normal. It is what it is.

You didn't have to type all that. I know you meant Cubone's mother.

Also, here is a Youtube clip showing the Master Ball failing against the Ghost.

I just realized I forgot to mention just what Marrowaks mother was. I apologize for forgetting.

Marrowaks mother (I haven't played Generation 1 games in forever, so I don't know if that's the exact name) was a ghost that was in the original generation 1 games, found in the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town. She would block your access to the 3rd (I think?) level of pokemon tower when you tried to fight her. When you first encounter her, you see what is called the "ghost" sprite. "Ghosts" could not be battled, only ran away from, or battled if the Silph Scope was used. What made "Marrowaks Mother" different was that it would block your path until it was removed.

When you did fight her, your pokemon could not attack her, the game saying they were "too scared to move" (as was the case with any pokemon that had a ghost sprite upon encounter). The only way you could get past her was to obtain the Silph Scope, which would "reveal" that the Marrowak ghost was a Marrowak (shocker) which you could then defeat and continue with the story (or by using a pokedoll, which would automatically end the battle and the game would act like she had been defeated. This "bug" was fixed in later releases).

If you attempted to throw a pokeball at the ghost, the game would say that the pokeball would miss, regardless of the type of pokeball used. The sprite has actually spawned a number of creepypastas as a result, but that's besides the point.

The picture displayed here is what it looked like upon encountering the "Marrowak Mother".

I posted this because i can recall me and my dad ( i only lived with him ) going without money for a long time. I remember i had a ps2 when it first came out and i pawned it so we could get a nice meal that night.

I know that feel.

I would often have to sell my books or PS2/3 so my mom could afford her medicine, or so that we could eat. I would have sold my Playstation 2/3, and I offered to sell it so we could eat that week, but my mother adamantly refused, telling me she wanted me to have at least one nice thing.

i once feel for a cute little redhead from new york. poor thing had no self esteem (she was anorexic for most of her life)and her boyfriend was just leeching sex, time and money from her. i gave her the confidence to dump him and to find love in other places, i often told her how much i cared about her but she just kept going and staying with the same kind of mooching boyfriends. then she met her newest boyfriend, an engineer. he was nice, he was loving, he was everything she needed and everything i wanted to be for her...

she got married last i heard, never talked to her after that.
