understood, parents also never did that, most places i know about won't hire you unless you're 18 or older due to cost of training, they see hiring a minor as a possible expense loss, as for me, i'm way older than i look or seem.

That doesn't explain how I know people that are 16 and employed and are failing school while I'm 17, unemployed, and getting A's and B's.

problem likely solved in due time, i usually just wait for chances to get what i want being i work for my parents in a huge sports bar and grill, my first computer was really junk, it was made from old scrap parts i salvaged from a dumpster, then again, parts back then didn't have a very high power rating.

I have no way of making money right now. Every job I've applied for has turned me down, and my parents have never given me, like, an allowance or anything.
User avatar #420167 - novabird (07/14/2013) [-]
that's why new parts mostly have a 3-4 year replacement warranty, something goes wrong send it back, everything has a full set of instructions as well to help the builder, chances of messing up are very slim as long as you read everything.

everyone has to learn somewhere and all the parts only go one way, it only gets hard when you add tons of stuff like my complex watercooling system, that part was really hard to get working properly.
User avatar #420165 - shuttershy (07/14/2013) [-]
I'd probably break something trying to put it in and be down a hundred dollars or more.

not really, everything is color coded and easy to figure out now, it used to be much harder.

it's a lot like legos, you start with a motherboard you like, then you find a good compatible cpu, gpu, ram, hdd(raid-0 or single), power supply, tower, disk drives and etc. cables and fans needed and a good mouse, keyboard and monitor, extras are optional.

Ah, thats ok. You've seen our rules? If not they are stickied on my Profile, please read and confirm them
User avatar #6 to #5 - shuttershy (07/12/2013) [-]
The rules really seem to just boil down to "don't be a dick".

Easy enough.

Haha, Indeed and it works fine. But some things need to be written out, there are a few who like to test me so I write it down more or less accurate.
Alright then, since you really seem ok I don't see anything in the way. Welcome to Ponyville!
