In Comstock's life, he had changed his name to Comstock after the battle of Wounded knee, which despite Slater's sayings, he WAS at because he was Booker DeWitt. He had a wife, and had a child with her, but the child died at birth and Comstock killed her.
In DeWitt's life, he had wedded and had a child (Anna), but his wife died. He gambled, and later could not pay is debts, so he paid with Anna to the Luteces, the people who invented Columbia's way of floating. 18 years later, the Luteces gave Booker a chance to get her back, but on his way up to Columbia (Which was actually a tear between dimensions created by the Luteces) he lost most of his memory, thus being unaware Elizabeth is Anna. She can open different dimensions because when she was being transported to Columbia through a tear, her pinkie was caught when Booker tried pulling her back through, severing it, allowing her to open Tears to different dimensions.

Oh my god I fucking hated the gameplay. Every time it said "Press [key/button] to open door" I atleast expected a rapid button tap. And the guns were ALL the same, a sniper, 4 machine guns, 2 pistols, 4 fucking shotguns and 1 rifle. And I rarely used Vigors EVER in the game.

I'm currently playing Bioshock Infinite for the first time too.
Almost done, I think. At the part where you defend the huge ass ship after Booker murdas Comstock.

The gameplay is pretty repetitive, I agree. The weapons get boring. You spend too much time looting, something required for you to gather more ammo and make money for upgrades. The environment doesn't have as much going on as I had hoped to be. And vigors, I never made use of them much. Just recently I developed the natural instinct to use some vigors to stun enemies, as heavy damage and low health became a problem in tougher gunfights. If only the game had implemented objectives where vigors were required to complete a task, to help with variety in problem solving and progressing.

But all in all great game. I highly anticipate the end.
One of the few reasons that Infinite caught my attention was from the Elizabeth rule 34 that I just so happen to have came across one normal day.

I beat that game for the first time today

I read up the ending of that game before I beat it, but then ending was MUCH more confusing than I expected, then I got it.
