For some reason, I find it worthwhile to trudge through the crudity, inanity, and mind-numbing stupidity that is most of FunnyJunk for that one gem of genuine, intelligent, witty humor.

Oh, and I can draw stuff. I can draw stuff real good.

From what I understand, it was like a 0-6 rating scale of how attractive you thought the other person was. The bars are what ranking was given, in aggregate. I think the point was to show that while men have a standard bell curve style of rating women, the ranking of men by women is heavily skewed downward.

Actually if you think about it the Hedwig one makes sense. Harry spent how many summers with only Hedwig as good company? Also the owl was one of his possessions that grounded him to his school days. As insane and abnormal as his years at Hogwarts had been they were the happiest times of his life. With her death it was not only losing a dear pet but also it hit home that those days were over. IDK just my 2 cents

And that's a good literary device, and I get the symbolism in killing off Hedwig. But to say Hedwig represented something and to say Hedwig TAUGHT us something are two different things, and I don't think Hedwig taught us anything.

Exactly. I never felt persecuted for being straight, so I don't really feel the need to defend my sexuality, which is pretty much what gay pride is about.

Time control. As in like, the ability to slow down, speed up, and reverse time without that affecting you (or affecting you if you want). Now you would need a controlable exoskeleton that is connected to your brain made from some hard alloy, and have it connected to a very large power source to be able to move without breaking your bones or straining your muscles when you slow down time because you are relatively faster and since acceleration=mass*speed, your acceleration is higher, and since force=mass*acceleration, the force witch you use to touch things (including the ground you walk on) will me much stronger (imagine punching a wall) and because energy=(mass*speed^2)/2 you would need a very large power source to move your exoskeleton

Nightcrawler can teleport up to two miles, though in extreme cases he's been able to teleport further. He needs a line of sight to his destination or he needs to know exactly where he's going, but those are all fair handicaps for a pretty versatile power. You wouldn't need the super endurance that's necessary for super speed or strength, and you wouldn't need the speed or stamina necessary for flight. Since you can teleport stuff that you're touching, you wouldn't really have to carry anything anywhere ever again. Easy accessibility to virtually ANY PLACE. Sounds like a pretty great deal to me.
User avatar #14 - goodhomer (06/26/2015) [-]
Kurt can teleport to anywhere he can see. So he could teleport hundreds of miles as long as he has a clear view.

He can technically teleport anywhere, but if he can't see where he is going he could end up inside an object, which would kill him.

Bonus fact: he travels through hell when he teleports.

I need to read more Nightcrawler. Any good comic recommendations for him?

Also, how did he even discover that he might end up inside of something? It seems like the kind of thing where the only way to discover it is to... die.
