If by "investing" you mean "pay the devs to not talk about the PS4 version" then yes, they are investing.

How am I? MS payed off Devs during their E3 stage show to not talk about the PS4 versions of the non-exclusives at their stage show.

Unless they said that the game was exclusive, it's multiplatform.

It's just being done to prevent piracy, but everyone has to suffer this inane bullshit as a result. I throw on my PS3 a few times a week, not once a day, and I don't want my PS3 to say, "You didn't sign in X hours ago when you were supposed to, so fuck you and enjoy your inability to game."

Kinect is a stupid idea in general to me. It's good for those people who don't want to go out and get a nice little exercise, but I game to relax, and I don't want to move.

And again, I say: quality over quantity. I honestly couldn't give two shits if the XBox One had ten times the games the PS4 will have. I'm going to like the PS4 games more because they, along with Sony, were able to market so well that I want the PS4 and its games. Microsoft had shitty marketing, the creme-de-la-creme of which was their assertion that those who wanted to play offline could buy an XBox 360. It's pathetic.

Exclusive games = opinion-based. Larger selection, in my opinion, means nothing if the games aren't good, and only a few of them interested me.

The XBox requires a mandatory check-in every 24 hours and makes the Kinext "essential" (AKA mandatory) for the "full game experience." You have to pay full price for a game considered used on top of the original price for which you bought it.

Basically, it bleeds your wallet dry and - as Microsoft so smartly decided to disclose - does nothing the XBox 360 can't do, and unlike the 360, you HAVE to be online at all times.

At the end of they day, They're both going to be used for gaming. Microsoft have just went all out on money grabbing now. They've not taken the customers into consideration and unless people don't buy their console they never will. what you're witnissing is Microsoft becoming the apple of the gaming industry.

Maybe so, But think about it, Notice how it back-fired greatly on the X-box. And even if they did, it'd only be for online like most games do now, E.g mortal Kombat AC revelation

He's got a case of shock Microsoft butthurt syndrome.
Sony has, and say it with me, NO restrictions on games, like, ever.

They even have this helpful video on how to share games, which is effectively used games.

Now listen up and get educated. What sony said is true. THEY won't block used games from being played on their system. Period. What CAN happen is publishers can opt to use online passes to block people from playing MP without a fee. This is no different than the current state of things.

M$ on the other hand is making it so we have to pay a fee even if we only want to play that used game's SP. You can't just play it offline either because you are required to be online at least 1 time per day. In addition to this, you have to be a member of one of the supported countries. They said you can share games with 10 family members, but only 1 person can be playing that game at a time and this is a purely digital process. You can also gift a game to a friend, but that person may never sell the game or gift it to another person.
