"she didn't care about the working man"

Now here is the most idiotic of your statements. Her term was ALL about the working man, while discouraging sitting on your ass and getting welfare (I heard there's a famous case these months in the UK newspapers about a family living grand-style solely on wellfare..). The whole point of reforms was to encourage entrepreneurs (which would give jobs, with which 1) you get money into the state budget via taxes and 2) decrease unemployment i.e lower some of the budget expenses) and competitiveness.
The coal mines were just a financial black hole, an illogical expense. And what do you do with an expense that doesn't bring you any good? Exactly, you cut it.

In simple, she favoured the elite and privatised British industry - leading to the majority of lower and working classes jobs to be moved abroad. Therefore, the lower and working class resent her, while the middle and upper classes respect her work for revitalising the economy.

My maternal grandparents were working class and were able to buy their council home, like thousands of others like them, because of Maggie's reforms.

Tatcher's government represented the implementation of a neoliberal system of economics in england, kinda like reagen in the us. Neoliberalism defends that government should interfere the least in the economy, the opposite of a wellfare state. This is seen as a mostly elitist policy, and against the interest of popular masses.
