Same boat here... As a manager it's hard enough to find someone who's smart enough to even pump gas.

Except that many jobs don't pay enough for me to work my ass off. You get what you pay for. If you treat your emplyees well, and pay them enough to give a shit, then they will WANT to work hard for you. And fire the one's who don't.

But if your staff see their manager not working hard. Or have to cover for senior staff, who shirk work and get more pay. Or aren't paid enough for the work/hours they are being asked to perform... Then at some point, they will just start going through the motions.

the country had 2.400 people living there in 2013.

From the great mongol empire, it became a barren wasteland. No wonder nobody ehars anything about that apocaliptic country.

It didn't become a barren wasteland; it was pretty much always just a bunch of empty steppes. Genghis Khan was just a badass motherfucker.

And the info I can find says that it had nearly 3,000,000 people lived in Mongolia in 2013; nearly half of which lived in their capital.

Yeah, we HAVE to take them if they want to go by ambulance. Trust me, we try our fucking hardest to get people who dont need to go, to find another way. And honestly, most of the time theres at least 4 vehicles in the yard and 6 people over the age of 20 in the house. But whatever, its not my bill to pay. Oh wait, it actually usually is cause of Medicare/aid.
#30 - sniperwolfex (08/14/2016) [-]
True we can't deny anyone a ride. The problem is all the people with Medicaid and Medicare so they believe they have justification to make us into a fancy taxi cab. 😑

I believe that by law, EMTs cannot turn down people requesting an ambulance.

Glad that isn't a law in England, I told someone just this morning that we are an emergency ambulance not a taxi service. Felt good.... can rarely do it without risking consequences though.

Yeah, one of my teachers was a friend with an emt, they told us a story about this guy. The emt was hanging out, waiting for a call while away from the hospital, this homeless lady comes up, climbs into the back of an ambulance, lays down in the bed and said " My blood sugar is down, take me to the hospital"

They tested her blood, perfectly normal, but because she demanded to be taken to the hospital and that her blood sugar was bad, they had to do it and give her juice and crackers. Then this bitch pulls some stunts with the billing and made it so the tax payers footed the bill. Absolute bullshit.

funny, here if there is someone passed out drunk on the street and you call an ambulance for them, they just tell you "fuck off, we ain't taxi for drunks"
