Hahaha, did you just call me a LARPer?!

Just to clarify, I have no loyalties to the Ottoman Empire. They might have been great, but by the end they fell from within due to pride and corruption, which are the symptoms of any falling state. I just like Turkish culture...and that mustache...

Also, I don't intend to label Western governments as 'baddies'. Politicians lie, and mistakes are made, but identifying the true problem of the situation is the first step to fixing it.

Personally, I am very upset with Arabs and their behavior. We live under dictators, and we get comfy in the corruption we fester in, but it usually takes a spark to get us going a la Arab Spring .

I pray that the Arabs learn to be as civil as Europe, but there is much to be done for that to happen.

Take the Ottoman empire for example, since you love LARPing so much. How much do you think it owes to its former colonies, and the countries it raided, waged war with, conquered, etc.?

Unfortunately, Western governments have been involved in that part oft the world for decades upon decades, doing as they please and fearing very little of any consequence coming to their borders.

Establishment and endless funding of Israel literally forcing out Arabs from their homes and placing European Jews instead , USA and UK's illegal war on Iraq and Afghanistan The whole world knows it was bogus why they went to war. Lots of blood on their hands. thereby destabilizing the region around them extreme retaliation know as ISIS , propping up of dictators the likes of Gaddafi, Saddam, Mubarak, Sisi, the Saudi royal family and many more.

I don't mean to be insensitive, but in the end, we all must reap what we sow.

You're totally justified to care for your interests. That's totally fine.

I just like to share a perspective to people from a place not many have been to or experienced, like Syria or Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately, although deep down we care about our interests alone, we should know that the world, if left unbalanced, can effect everyone living on it.

It is unfortunate about what's happening with the refugee crisis. A 1st world society having to embrace an influx of various 3rd world migrants coming from societies effected by poverty, tyranny, corruption and war.

There are bound to be some ill willed and uncivilised miscreants from within. What's worse is some come from nations that are promote such behavior.

That's another topic, and Erdogan has an itchy finger when it comes to immigrants since he uses them as a weapon of negotiation. That's more of a topic for geopolitics, I'm talking about basic civil life and security.
