Most phones have all-plastic casing, so unless you've taken your phone apart, you might never know that there's metal inside. And deleting system32 is easy to recover from. You can use a Windows recovery disc, or boot to the backup partition that most computer companies include standard. Worst case scenario, you have to reinstall Windows. Your data is still intact after wiping system32, so the most you'll spend is maybe $100 to get it repaired (or much less if you know a computer nerd). It's still not a cool thing to do, but at least it doesn't have any lasting damage.

Destroying a $700 phone fries every component, destroys all of your data, and sets you back $700. If you're locked into a cell phone contract, usually you have to keep paying it, because cell service providers are just assholes like that.

Actually that is only half right.
Carnegie did keep wages low, Rockefeller did not. Or not entirely, he paid unskilled workers little, there was always far more unskilled workers then jobs. On the other hand, skilled workers were very well paid, far above average in USA at the time.
Similar policy J.P. Morgan brought to US steel after buying it from Carnegie. Unskilled labour cheap, skilled well paid.
And always build up. If you are sacking people to make a profit, you are undermining yourself and fucking up your product long term.
Real difference from those people and today's capitalists is very simple. They thought ten steps ahead, and planned years in the future and were ready to take temporary financial hit if it meant huge profits long term.
Today they HAVE to post profits each quarter, or they will not get bonuses, so they fire good workers and close long term programs and/or R&D programs, and make money short term, while eroding the company long term.
