I enjoyed Will Smith's performance, it was his son's performance I didn't like. Even though he was directed to act the way he did but to me he just looked like he should have died because he didn't listen to his father until the very end. I guess what I'm trying to say is that through out the whole movie I was hoping someone would just punch him in the face.

That's really cool. I think the drummer is often underestimated as to the importance of their role in the band. I do vocals as a hobby, but I don't practice so my breath control is shit and I'm not putting out the kind of sound I want, but the sound might be because I don't use a microphone. I also wrote a few songs, but I'm sort of a perfectionist so I just threw out the lyrics. I probably have them on my "sent" folder in my email, though, in case I ever want them again. It really is. I never much get to discuss bands that I listen to outside of my friend group (Not even my main friend group, because only 1 person in my main friend group listens to these bands, and actually introduced me to the genres, but because of him I have an extended friend group that listens to these bands. He and his Godbrother are actually vocalists in bands, but have yet to record much music.)

I have another friend who is okay with hardcore, but prefers bands like Primus, Pantera, Amon Amarth, and other bands. He went to Mayhem this year and he said it was fucking awesome. He's also a drummer, and is one of the best I've ever heard. I don't know if you play Rockband, but if so you might've noticed a JeremysStrat at the #1 spot on many songs in the world on the drums.
#41 - rummler (10/30/2013) [-]
Badass. I don't play any rockband, but that's cool that your friend is that good.
I know how you feel, certain music brings out different friends, which is awesome.
All my main friends listen to hardcore, we're actually starting a band because we love the music so much. I know I'm no where near as good as your friend but I'm going to start learning how to drum. (Hopefully I get that good)
We're in the beginner stage, we have a place to practice, but don't have all the necessary instruments yet.
Our heavy vocalist and lead guitarist have been working on lyrics, so I'm not too worried about that.
I think we have an awesome name...
Until Proven Wrong.

I've been to the Monster Outbreak tour up in Detroit (I live in Toledo) and saw Asking, Memphis, Attila, I See Stars, and As I Lay Dying. I had only been into hardcore music around that time for about 3 or 4 months, and my next time seeing bands live is when I went to Warped tour up in Detroit as well. There I saw Sleeping With Sirens, Letlive, Hands Like Houses, and one other band I don't recall. Unfortunately I missed seeing Architects and Blessthefall as I went with my friend and both agreed that the group would split up and see who we wanted. We were trying to find our friend and ended up missing Architects.

I don't much care for "Feel", but SWS' older albums were good. I don't think they're going to last now that Jesse left the band as the guitarist. Kellin's screams were only done in the studio, where-as Jesse did them live, so if they don't break up, then Kellin's cleans won't sound nearly as good.

I wish I had money to go to more shows, but once I get a job I plan on going to Frankies (a local venue) and Toledo's Rocket Bar to see more local bands. I may go to a concert here and there, too.

You've got a really good taste, I won't lie.
I still need to look up WCAR

My interests include everything from Classic metal to Death metal, but these are the bands I listen to the most:

The Afterimage, Architects (look up the one from the UK), Arson Our Savior (A local band from my area, now just called "Arson"), Asking Alexandria (Personally, I do not care for their songs about fucking random women and partying, but the other shit's impressive.), Attack Attack!, Beartooth (Caleb Shomo of Attack Attack joined as the vocalist after Attack Attack! broke up, he's a fucking beast of a vocalist.), Blessthefall, Bring Me The Horizon (Only Sempiternal, I do not care for the new stuff), The Color Morale, Convictions, Dream On Dreamer, ERRA, Fit For a King, For Today, The Ghost Inside, Glass Cloud, Goodbye Blue Skies, Letlive, Memphis May Fire, Northlane, Of Mice & Men, Outline In Color, Periphery, Sleeping With Sirens, and Texas In July

Personally, out of any of them I recommend Northlane, ERRA, Architects, and Outline In Color They're well known, but not as well known as bands like Memphis, Letlive, The Color Morale.

I'm actually surprised to see someone else into the hardcore genres. I haven't listened to much Death Metal and Deathcore, but I've heard enough to know I like it.

My taste has since evolved since the buying of the CD.
Here is a small list of bands I've seen live:
We Came as Romans x2, Memphis May Fire, Black Veil Brides x3, August Burns Red, Forever Came Calling, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! (one of my favorites live), Danger Kids, Silverstein, The Color Moral, Atilla, Seather ,Of Mice and Men, The Devil Wears Prada

Some other non metal / hardcore bands I've seen (That I don't care to see again)
My Darkest Days, Bush ,Brooks and Dun... (was forced to go to that one)
I even went to a Nickleback concert...

When it comes to straight up death metal I'm getting into Impending Doom (even pre ordered their new album that's coming out on Nov. 5th.)
Listened to The Order of Elijah for the first time last night, love them.
I'm actually part of a facebook page titled (Metal Heads) on facebook, It has over 600 members that constantly post metal that I monitor daily.
Feel free to get in on the action.

Very cool.
I went to the 2011 Warped tour in Nampa and the 2013 Warped Tour in Salt Lake.
I want to go to Mayhem one of these years, (A large venue full of bands like A day to remember, Metalica, AC/DC, etc.)
I just have to say it's nice to meet a fellow hardcore fan.
User avatar #39 - OsamaBinLadenz (10/30/2013) [-]

User avatar #43 - OsamaBinLadenz (10/30/2013) [-]
That's really cool. I think the drummer is often underestimated as to the importance of their role in the band. I do vocals as a hobby, but I don't practice so my breath control is shit and I'm not putting out the kind of sound I want, but the sound might be because I don't use a microphone. I also wrote a few songs, but I'm sort of a perfectionist so I just threw out the lyrics. I probably have them on my "sent" folder in my email, though, in case I ever want them again. You guys have a badass band name, by the way.
User avatar #44 - rummler (10/30/2013) [-]
Well it's nice to have met you OsamaBinLadenz, I will definitely be attending your funeral.

I've had the name "Atilla" and "Atilla280" since my Runescape days in 2007, and that band just ruins it for me :|

User avatar #306 to #305 - rummler (03/25/2013) [-]
I turned it into a chest and key, and used that chest and key and got a **** laod of ores and gems, along with a few rits. I then gave it all away, along with all my fj points.
I got frontpage a few times this week (about 7 total) so I was rolling in the points. They were of no use to me, so I gave them to someone who could use them
