I'm not familiar with wrestling they may want to take it out for other reasons. I said it was probably because wrestling is unpopular. I had no clue, it just happened to a few women sports a while ago so I explained that possibility.

I presume you live an the U.S? Outside of the U.S curling is pretty big we have a tourney every week it seems in Canada. The world is different outside of the United states (or wherever you live). I get that Americans don't care much about outside of their culture but you shouldn't make an assumption base only on the channels you watch and the news you read.

I assume you were assuming wrestling is not big in other cultures. Clearly Russia, America, Japan, India and of course Sweden mean nothing to the olympics.

Exactly. Except I don't think you're understanding me. The JB fan was implying that an elector could choose to send his state's votes to one candidate, even if every voter in his jurisdiction voted for the other.

I'm not supporting the Electoral College system. Things like Bush and Florida show how roundabout and contrived it is, but what anon is suggesting isn't really a concern.

I see what your trying to say, but clearly the anon is a young and not quite informed on what is going on. To try and convince him all electors have always performed there job as they should is not helping. If electors are supposed to send there votes based on popular vote and in Florida GW lost and electors did so anyway. You know with big brother being senator and all, and daddy being a former president. I would say anons heart is in the right place just needs to be better informed on the real situation.

That wasn't a problem with the electors, they all did what they're supposed to. That's a more fundamental problem with the Electoral College and the way the votes go to the states. Bush would have gotten elected even if we don't have actual people filling the positions of Electors, but he wouldn't have if they counted individuals' votes instead of states' votes.
